nice focus on the eye, that's how i imagine them, just big eyes. The whire really emphasises the colours too.

This is a really well done photo. The white background was a great choice - really exaggerates the colors of this little beauty. I love the composition as well. Leaving the empty space above the toad makes it look like she's peering skyward since her eyes are just naturally pointed in that direction. What a cute subject!

Anyway, the composition is wonderful. I think the white background was the best choice as you really dont want the background getting in the way of the colours of the frog and distracting the eye away from the subject. The focus is 90% there. I think the nose (probably not the right term, but... meh) is slightly out and whilst it doesnt really detract from the whole thing, now I know its there its the only thing I can see. But you made the right choice focusing on the front of him/her and not the whole animal. I also think that something could have been done to try and take the flash off him/her as it blanches the photo abit. Maybe using a reflective surface so that no flash was needed... Im not sure what to really suggest right now. But I still think its a great shot.
Now, if you'll excuse me, i have to run to the pet shop...

Thanks for the comment! Yeah, the out of focus snout kinda bugs me but my original intent was to focus on the eye only so..yea!
And actually, I didn't use flash...O_o...... its just a bright light so I can get the colours out.

She is cute. This is a really good shot, good example of the field of focus ( I think thats what it's called) because the face of the frog is in focus but the back legs aren't...Good job
