Hugs don't usually solve problems but it often makes you feel better and makes those problems easier to cope with. I wonder if hugs produce endorphins, like laughing and crying. If you want to a show where you want to hug the characters you should watch Person of Interest, I always want to hug Herald, he's so sweet and his story is so sad.
