I got into making littlle figure charms out of beads this past summer. This was my first one actually, and it took me forever. Of course I had to pick a complicated one to start with.
I made her a while ago, but I'm just now getting around to posting. I finally managed to take a somewhat decent picture earlier today. I suck at taking pictures ;_;But anyways, if you can''t tell, this is Hello Kitty. She's a little charm about 1.25in (3cm) tall and made out of Swarovski crystal beads strung together - no glue! She's fun as a cell phone/purse danglie-accessory-thing ^^

It's absolutely beautiful! My friend's mom makes these kind of things. Is there a book that has tutorials on how to make these or...?

Thank you so much! I do have some books with different patterns, but they're all in Chinese, and they can be kind of daunting at first if you haven't had any experience with this type of beading.

It's the same type of beading, but I actually made this (and the princess one) when I was in Taiwan. It's a popular craft there, and they sell little pre-packaged kits with all of the beads and the instructions for how to make them.
They are fun to make! Fairly time-consuming though...

It's a form of beading ^^ I use one continuous thread with beads strung onto it and looped in a specific pattern. Um.. it's kind of hard to explain. Sorry if this is confusing

Normaly I would hate hellokitty.... but I have to admit this is really cute. I've never seen anyone make a little jewel figure with beads like this, keep up the good work.
