I'm trying to do somethin' similar as what you have here. Though, I don't have art talents like yours. I'm mainly using a hexadecimal calculator online and using that to figure out the opposite values for the colors, and then using magic wand and fill color to get the results. Or as best I can with the results. They don't look as clean and well done as what you have here. I do, however, like the results, even though they vary slightly from what I'm getting with this method. But, for the ones I've done this for... I must say, I like Luna's and Celestia's versions in regards to the ones I'm doing, Luna's especially.

Art talent? You're making me blush. x)
It's not really art talent, you know. In fact, all I did was just copy the original picture, then use a special control on Paint to reverse their colors. After this, I just have to color the copy of the picture. It's not hard.
However, you must pay attention and choose picture with a few, few, few different pixels. If you zoom on my picture, you'll see that there is one color for one big line, one color for the coat...
When it look dirty, it's because there is tons of colors for one line.

lol But, as I said, had an idea for a comic concept for ya.
Example, Applejack's mind is intelligent towards structure and logic, not creativity, whereas Rarity is the opposite with her creative mind and following her feelings.... well, their reversed selves would have those aspects reversed. But, that's just one aspect. They'd have many things reversed. Example, Applejack's reversed self, despite her good heart, would be lazy and far from dependable due to how much her mind wanders as she wonders about the beauty of the world. Still a farm girl, but now more focused on its beauty rather than the great feelings of a job well done. Another reversed aspect could be with Pinkie's being a pessimist with being focused on gatherings not of celebration, but rather, gatherings involving work and progress to aid the community at large.
Things like that.^_^ Possibly changing their names as well to help identify them as reversed versions.

lol My specialty is with concepts, not the finer details. But, that's why I often work in collabs, brainstorming where I can to aid the project, with the partner I team with fleshing it out, often with me proofreading the final work as well.
