Description
I've updated this guide. You can view the newer version here: fav.me/d8lmaql
—————————————————————————————————
I’ve had some people interested in commissioning some work of their SWTOR characters. I made this guide to better explain to them what I need but hopefully other people will find it useful as well. —————————————————————————————————
Fraps can be downloaded at www.fraps.com
If you want your companion character in the picture make sure to include good references of your companion character.
If you have a lightsaber with a weird blade effect (like the Gree light sabers) it’s a good idea to include at lest one shot of the full blade so the artist can see it.
A character sheet is really not necessary, it’s handy, but if you are unsure about your computer graphics skill just send the screen shots.
If you are an imperial character you can talk to Lenna Corr on Tatooine (she’s in Mos Ila) for a cut scene that offers some good opportunities for screen shots.
I haven’t come across a good Republic side equivalent yet. I will update if I find one. If any one has a suggestion for a repeatable quest that offers good views (with good lighting) of you and your companion character please tell me.
If you have any questions or corrections feel to let me know.

Here are full sized views of the character sheets I made for this tutorial

Well I use fraps, as I said in the guide, and that's how I take my screen shots. You can use the print screen button (it's on your keyboard) but it doesn't work all the time (like it won't work during cut scenes). The game put the screen shots taken via print screen in a folder in my Documents called "Star Wars - The Old Republic" it's the same folder that the combat logs are in.

Faving because this needs to be shared more. I do pretty much all of the same as above for any of my screencaptures and if I'm doing commissions for others I can easily send this to them. Thank you for sharing.

SWTOR is Free to Play, so if you want to try out the game (to see what all the fuss is about) it won't cost you anything but time.

yeah i know, i played two of the betas, one closed beta and an open beta. it was fun for the most part, i think the sith have a more enjoyable starting experience (dunno about later on, only got to level 15...)
i just already have several games i'm playing along with real life, i cant possibly start another one D:
also my laptop nearly melted itself the last time.
