Description

True empathy is not limited to those who look and act like us, it lies in the ability to embrace the diversity of the universe free of the superiority bias tied to one's own physical form, abilities, and perception.
When one side lacks such empathy and wisdom, this can be enough for that side to start a war against those they deem inferior, even if for a difference in just the tiniest of an irrelevant detail.
Humans, as a species, are the all-time leaders in their craving to conquer or anihilate their fellow sapient creatures in the known universe - they've done that to other hominins, the Dragons, the Garlundenans, and, whenever deprived of access to those alternatives, each other. Not in defense, but only in desperate attempt to justify their own false sense of superiority they find in tearing others apart.

The famous quote from "Little Prince" sums it up for my Draffectill project
The looks are highly misleading:v
"You gotta dig a little deeper"^^

[Racist/xenophobic comments NOT welcome - as anywhere else]

In fact, in my story, Dragons are objectively superior to humans, but it's possible for a human to "level up" mentally and spiritually thanks to close interactions with a Dragon - likes it happens with Billie as he develops the bond with Aryena.
The protagonist couple is sapientXsapient interracial and undergoes a demisexual progression.

And wyverns? They are ferocious instinct-driven feral animals, the complete opposite of Dragons in every aspect. Humans have always confused them for Dragons though and, as a general population, never cared to see things for what they truly were.

My story project doesn't contain any sapientXferal sexual or alike events, is also NOT in any way positive about such.

So are Wyverns like more primitive dragons?

Like its kind of weird but are Wyverns like gorillas are to us humans related but either more primitive or different evolutionary path

They are completely unrelated creatures from two different planets, one with a quadruped bodyplane(Garlundena, the main place of action) and the other with a hexapod(the Dragon home planet). Wyverns remind of reptiles and are aggressive animals, while Dragons have mammalian traits, are calm, magical and of a greater than human sapience level.
Random short-term portals are a thing in my universe, so some interplanetary species migratons happen, and those three first met on Earth, where humans were too stupid to tell them apart and treated them as one double-class species, like ants or bees(at first I thought it would be too far-fetched but then I realised that the irl film industry has successfully sold wyverns as proper dragons people just confuse them, period xD).

Yeah, that's pretty much what I had in mind for my stories as well--both Humans and Dragons are sapient, and each has their own advantages and disadvantages, but Wyverns (smaller beasts then true dragons, same base grouping--like us humans and chimps) were kept as pets by dragons back in old Draconia, and as such any hint of a 'relationship' had those same "Ewwwww...." connotations as man/beast does today.

Edit: The only problem left is lifespan--20,000 for a dragon, and an average of 120 years for a human. Benji and Pieldri have solved this (with divine help), but some haven't.

Makes sense.

In my case, Dragons and wyverns originated from 2 different planets.

Neat--in my stories, it's the Humans that are the aliens. Minecraftia was known as Draconia in times long past, but then the fourth dragon war happened and the dragons nuked themselves back to the stone age (they had an early spaceflight civilization). About 30,000 years later in 2288 AD, a fleet of JumpShips on an exodus from the Terran Alliance arrived. It is only recently that dragons have began to bring themselves back to what they once were with the help of mankind.

For mine who's the alien is a matter of perspective (for Earth, humans native, Dragons and wyverns alien, for the Dragon planet I didnt' name yet, humans and wyverns alien, for Garlundena(the main plot's planet), humans and Dragons alien) Also, well, it's the humans who drove Dragons and wyverns close to extinction, so our stories themselves have very different things going on^^
