After comparing the portrait of El Kabeir with the last few years of my Derby series, I just couldn't keep that style up - it looks just like what I did in 2013. So I pushed a little harder to get something different and wound up with this style for the 2015 contenders.So here's the new #1 portrait in the series: Upstart

Wow I love this!!! You managed to capture his good side. I worked for Violette over summer break at Belmont and Saratoga and I met Upstart. He was and still is a very spunky colt.
