Now, I'm just assuming they were both part of the Hot Rodders... because in the 93 comic it's said that Falco was part of it before joining Starfox and in Starfox64 it is implied that Katt knew Falco from before then.

This looks very improved colored. Falco's face is rather square though. I meant that suits the mood, but it has that totem pole feel to it.

Funny, I don't remember the name "Hot Rodders" mentioned in the old manga, though it's fair enough to say that Falco was part of some biker gang in his pre-academy days. I always loved that image of him meeting Fox, who's wearing that academy uniform. One concept of a younger Fara was that she was a brainy geek in the academy, who wore false braces and thick glasses, plus gangly clothes to keep the horny boys away from her. In one story idea where she and Fox knew each other in those days, he asked her out and when he came to pick her up, she's very gorgeous, her braces and glasses gone.
Great job with capturing the emotion of both of them. It's nice to know that they still have each other. Definitely keen about the lack of the feathered ponytail to show Falco being much younger.

It's from an old Star Fox manga written and illustrated by Benimaru Itoh, published in Nintendo Power magazine in the early 90s, for the first Star Fox game. It reveals that Falco was once a rowdy street kid until he met Fox who was still training at the academy. They became friends afterwards.
