Event: Beginner Jumping Class at Spring Forward Open Invitational
Location: Wildwood Warhorses Equestrian Center, Idaho

I'm absolutely torn between trying to work on a bold ink style and ditching it (as it is also kind of lineart which I'm NOT getting along with) and staying with a more paint/possibly watercolor style.

Story:

Talking Darlene into letting him have a stall was the easiest part, finding time to train with any sort of consistency was the most difficult. Luckily the dark colt soaked up the attention and had no complaints about the lack of a schedule. Fundamentals had come mostly preinstalled, and Drew was quickly finding that his equine student was picking up new concepts faster than he had been refreshing his childhood memories of adding the extra features of jumping and dressage. Great for progression, terrible for Drew's sleep schedule as he tried to find more time in his day to stay ahead.

Six months later the duo found themselves packing up to their first event: a beginner showjumping class in Idaho. Drew had discovered that the Ethereal Acres crew had surprised him with a couple of his belongings customized with the iconic crossed green swords, and he smiled while letting his fingers trace the details. Even though they remained in Washington to attend to the thoroughbreds, he was delighted that Crescendo would be able to represent the team--even if he never set foot onto a race track.
