But it must of been surprising at first, maybe that is why the normal cats would be too scared to venture out into the forest in fear of magic cats?

yea! thats the exact idea i had with why kittypets would be too scared to leave, but there's freaky creatures in the forest : fire cats.

But then I’m curious to know, if a warrior chose to go back to being a kitty pet or become a kitty pet would they lose their power or keep some of it?
that would make it way tougher to have a “paw in each world” or jumping between being a clan cat and pet, Would they keep switching between a normal cat and magic cat or would humans freak out because of a magic cat?

dw i like the questions! i'd think for maybe something like pinestar, every time he'd go back to the house, he'd slowly loose his powers. when he left the clans to be a kittypet, his powers were still there, but very weak so some unnatural occurrences do happen that twolegs would just consider coincidences or something.

I’m curious if the clan started noticing his loss of power and they became worried (never even imagining that their leader would want to be a kitty pet) , would he still keep his connections to starclan and his 9 lives or slowly lose his lives and at the very very end lose his starclan connection?
just a small sliver of his power and poof, it’s gone and everyone freak out xC

he would! even in the books pinestar, after he left the clans to be a kittypet, when he later died he did still go to starclan

(sorry for being gone so long )

I wonder if some cats training in the dark forest but not fully in it would be able to conceal or hide their changes (eyes and smoke around their paws) from other cats, would be interesting if only prophecy cats were then able to see past their disguise to see it
