1. - Thank you Indeed Rob 66 , for this opportunity , .... And I'll start with this Appropriate Question......
" WHERE WERE YOU ON THE NIGHT OF JULY 13 TH WHEN THEY FOUND LITTLE BORIS'S BODY IN THE VENDING MACHINE !?!... "
.................. oopps... I , um , seem to have picked up one of Your Pages from your Law Briefs , Rob.... excuse me , ah... yes , there's my page over here... let's try this again , shall we ?....
Starting at the Start... What Got you interested in Sex / Fetish / Bondage themed Entertainment in the beginning ? , and in following that Interest ... Inspired you to try doing something as Unique as Interviews ?...
- For me, it all comes back to the Batman TV show of the 1960s and the episode in which Eartha Kitt's Catwoman abducted Batgirl (Yvonne Craig) and then had her tied, gagged and placed on an automatic pattern cutting machine. That was my introduction to bondage when I was a kid. Fast forward to the late 1990s when I was online and discovered Yahoo's Groups, which were then known as Yahoo Clubs. There were endless numbers of them which shared bondage pictures. I ended up joining one of them in late 2001. It was called Rope_Dreams and it was founded by a girl from the UK. After a few months, she became disillusioned with the Club and was going to close it, but I asked her to give it to me to run and she did. I've run the Rope_Dreams Yahoo Group, which is very active today and has many bondage models, producers and fans among its membership, since March 2002.
Through the Yahoo Groups, I discovered a picture from the old Ins*x website in 2000 that just had me in awe. I was able to identify the model as Rachel Paine, who owned the TiedGirls.com website. She also did a lot of modeling with other producers. I showed the picture to Paige White, a model and producer I knew from an old IRC chat room. Paige had worked with Rachel and gave me her email address so I could send her a fan letter. This was in early 2001. Rachel didn't respond and I forgot all about it -- till she did respond in May 2001. It turned out that she and her fiance (now husband) lived not far from my office, so I invited them to lunch. Her fiance had to work, but Rachel met me in NYC for lunch and we became close friends. I eventually went with her and others to BondCon in NYC in early 2002 where she introduced me to so many models and industry people. Everyone liked knowing a kink-friendly lawyer so, over time, I met and got to know a lot of the models from BondCon. When I began speaking at Fetish Con in 2008, I met -- and became friends with -- still more models and producers.
BEAR IN MIND THIS IS OFF THE NET & I DON'T HAVE ANYONE'S PERMISSION TO USE IT
I began doing the interviews as a way of bolstering interest in the Rope_Dreams Group. At the time I had the idea, I had just bought a DVD from Tim Woodman, who ran the ProVillain.com website. The video starred Tim and his r/l significant other, Dorothy Laine, who had been long retired but was still iconic for her work in the bondage industry. I emailed Tim and asked if he thought Dorothy would be up for doing an interview. She was! She did the interview and it was very well-received when I posted it to the Yahoo Group, so I began asking other models I knew if they'd be interested in doing an interview with me. Most (not all, but most) agreed to do an interview. It was a great feature for the Yahoo group and I had a lot of fun doing them!
2. - I know it would be cruel to ask , out of all your Interviews... which one was your favorite ?... So I'll spare you that " I , Um , Ahhhhhhhh... " moment , and make it more defined with 3 particular choices in telling us... What Interview would you say was...
A. Your Most Unexpected that you didn't think at first , it would happen...
B. Your Most Humorous , in making you laugh so much...
C. A Most Nervous to do , because of what questions you had to decide on...
- A. A Most Unexpected that you didn't think at first , it would happen... -- After going through my folder of interviews, I would have to say that the interview with Trinity from the now gone CoedsInPeril/BoundCoeds site would be the most unexpected. I discovered her pictures and that site shortly after getting onto the internet and her pictures just "wowed" me more than any of the other models on the site. Then, shortly after I began posting pictures in the Yahoo Clubs, the owner of BoundCoeds, emailed me and asked me if I would post pictures from his site. After a few months, he asked me which Coed was my favorite and I told him. He asked for my mailing address and I gave him my address at work. A week later, a CD arrived of every picture he ever took of Trinity. Years later . . . probably ten years later . . . the site owner asked me if I was still a fan of hers and I told him I was. He had spoken to her and told her about me and she had him pass along her Facebook name so we could become friends there. It wasn't long after that that I asked her if she'd do the interview and she agreed.
Mature Content
B. Your Most Humorous , in making you laugh so much... That's easy! The second interview with RenderPretender -- Talking Shop Again With RenderPretender! RP and I had become good friends by the time this interview was happening so I knew what to ask that would get great responses and he made some suggestions too. It was a lot of fun. RP also gets credit for a response in his first interview that makes me laugh every time I read it or think about it. That interview (from December 2015) is here -- A Conversation With RenderPretender and the question I am referring to is the sixth one where I asked him "What was your wife’s first response or reaction when she learned that your hobby involved using a computer to create cartoon super-heroines and then binding, stripping and often tormenting them? And did she marry you anyway? Or did she learn of the hobby when it was too late to head for the hills?" His response still makes me laugh to this day!
C. Your Most Nervous to do , because of what questions you had to decide on... That's easy too and it also relates to RP. It's the interview from November 2017 with "The Terrible Trio" -- An Interview with Lissa, Jenn and Erica . . .a/k/a As many of RP's Watchers know, the Trio consists of Lissa (the wife of RenderPretender ); Jenn (Lissa’s girlfriend (they are bisexual)); and Erica (the surrogate for RP and his wife’s baby). They are three real people and they all live together with RP, so I wanted to make the interview fun, interesting and humorous, but I did not want to ask any questions that could cause strife among them. I came up with a list of questions and reviewed each one carefully to see if there was any way it could do harm and if I had ANY doubts at all, that question got scrubbed. The last thing I wanted to do was fuck up real life relationships by asking a stupid question! In the end, I think it turned out to be a great, fun and, at times, poignant interview.
3. - You tend , in your Interviews , to ask what ' Tools of the Trade ' are used... Allow me to alter that sightly in your case , and ask what Instinct and mind set you use in choosing who to Interview , and walk us through how you put the Interview together. ( Assuming that Lawyers Don't actually read minds )
- With regard to the bondage industry interviews, if I personally know a model or producer and want to interview them, I email them to ask if they would be interested in doing an interview for me. Sometimes, particularly if I want to interview a model whose work I like but who I don't know personally, I'll ask a producer to reach out to the model to see if she'd be up for doing an interview. With a producer vouching for me, the model usually agrees and then the interview happens. With the dA artist interviews, most of them come about as a result of the friendships I've made on DeviantArt since 2015. Some happen because I might particularly like an artist's stories or artwork and I reach out to them about doing an interview. Others happen as a result of suggestions made by people I know who think a particular dA artist might be an interesting interview to do.
Once I decide to do an interview, I try to make it more personal and not ask the same questions I've asked in prior interviews (although some questions do recur often). I'll look at the artist's or writer's gallery, their Journals, etc. and then come up with questions specific to that artist/writer.
4. - By the time of this Interview being posted... You will have presented Up To , or Over 140 Interviews. Honestly Impressive!... If you could have both selves together , of your past original , starting Interviewer self , and your more experienced Interviewer self that you've become now ... What differences would you say there are between the two ?.. What has Experience taught you ?...
- The most important thing is to ask questions that are interesting. Even if I already know the answer because the person being interviewed is a friend, others might not know the answer. I also want to make the people I interview "shine" and not put them on the spot with a question that might cast them in a bad light. My goal is to have fun and interest others in the work of the people I interview.
5. - Some ... weird , Haunted Overcoat , keeps calling you Rob Ranger... But tell us the history of your actual chosen avatar name , and the picture in it , that you use...
- LOL! There's nothing mysterious about the name -- my real name is Rob and my birthday is June 6, so I went with Rob66. The avatar image is the one I use on FetLife. After I joined that site, I had no avatar image for ages. Many friends offered to let me use one of their models' pictures as an avatar, but that didn't appeal to me so I did a search on Google for something like "humorous lawyer art" and eventually found this one. I loved it because it poked fun at lawyers and was interesting. It also appealed to me because it reminded me of a comic book panel from when I was a collector of comics back in the 1970s -- the very final image in The Brave and The Bold #108. (I wonder if White0wlsuperheroine or anyone else knows the panel I'm referring to without looking at the image all the way at the end of the interview )
B&B 108 COVER -- COPYRIGHTED BY DC COMICS -- I DON'T HAVE PERMISSION TO USE IT; FOUND IT ONLINE
6. - With your grace , let's look behind the avatar , if we may...
Your a Real Life Lawyer , and a Family Man... So I'd like ask about those two more personal viewpoints , starting with You , the Lawyer...
Without going into private details on a confidential basis ... Have you , in a legal standing , ever dealt with , or seen issues involving Adult Entertainment ?... And what ' Lawyer ' viewpoint can you offer on Adult Art posts here on DA ( Be they by the rules or against them ) in general ?...
And following up that... with You , the Family Man , by your discretion... Dose Anyone in your family know about Rob 66 ?... And if so... What's their general take on your interest here on DA ?...
- I've given plenty of people in the industry (and people wanting to enter the industry) advice about the Federal Record-Keeping Statute, 18 USC 2257. From a litigation point of view, I've only handled one big case that was resolved after a few months. One of my clients received a visit from the FBI's Obscenity Task Force (or something with a name like that) and they had a search warrant that allowed for the seizure of records, equipment, hard drives, DVD's, the works. Someone, probably a boyfriend, parent or sibling of a model who did work for the client, reported them for shooting content with underage girls. The FBI seized all of the records and videos as part of the investigation. Ultimately, they returned everything to my client. They found no evidence to support the accusation and there was no prosecution. It was a major inconvenience, but we understood that in the face of such an accusation, it had to be investigated. The agents executing the search warrant and with whom I dealt after the warrant was executed were all very polite, civil and respectful. And so was my client. When the materials were finally returned, I told the agent in charge that I was going to be lecturing about the 2257 statute in a few weeks and asked if he'd give me an "FBI tidbit" about how they enforced that law. He declined, but he did tell me that if everyone in the adult industry maintained records the way my client did, there would be very few 2257 investigations.
My opinion or views about adult artwork on dA are really irrelevant because, as a private corporation, dA gets to make its own rules and policies for what it will allow on its site. The only "legal" viewpoint I have is that nothing posted should be in violation of state or federal law so no child pornography (which shouldn't need to be spelled out).
My family knows I am interested in bondage and that I lecture every summer about legal issues affecting the adult industry at Fetish Con. Several years ago, my daughter (at age 15 or 16) discovered Fetish Con herself by running a Google search of my name and "Tampa," which was where I went most summers for Fetish Con. It took her about ten seconds to come up with my name and presentations on the FetishCon.com website. "THAT's where you go each summer?" she asked (or words to that effect). Sometimes kids are too smart for their own good! My family, however, is unaware (at least I think they are unaware) of my Yahoo Group or DeviantArt presence. I am a firm believer in "Don't ask, don't tell."
7. - This time , I'll ask you a double sided coin - question , regarding your Interviews... First , Has there ever been an Interview you tried to do , and it didn't work out ?... And to the other side of that same coin...Is There an Interview You Haven't done ' yet ' , but would hope to do someday ?...
- I have asked several models if they would do interviews and only one declined because she was just too busy. Then, there are several models who said they would do the interviews but then, after I spent the time to craft questions for them, simply never did the interview and ignored me when I followed up to see if they were going to do it or had just lost interest. If they were no longer interested, that would have been fine with me, but I hate being ignored. It's just rude and inconsiderate. So, yes, there have been interviews that just never worked out. I'm sure there are ones I hope to do down the road, but, generally, if I want to do an interview, I reach out to the person and make the effort to get it done. The one interview that I'd have loved to have done -- but will never get to do -- would have been with the late Cory (Mr. T) Thompson, who died in December 2003. Cory was the creator of the classic Shortfuse bondage website. I'd met him a few times and we had a bunch of mutual friends. He would have been a great person to interview and I'm 99.9% sure he'd have done one for me if I asked.

AND NOW FOR THE BONUS ROUND!... ROB 66 ... IF YOU COULD DO A LIVE INTERVIEW WITH A REAL LIFE DAMSEL OF YOUR CHOICE , WHO WOULD DO THE INTERVIEW IN BONDAGE , ... WHO WOULD YOU PICK ?...
- I've already interviewed Jade Indica -- Interview with Jade Indica but I would have loved to have interviewed her while she was tied up. Jade loves bondage -- and looks great in it -- and she is apparently very comfortable around me lol Once at FetCon, she was getting ready for an early morning shoot and needed a favor, so she texted me to see if I would help her. I had time before my presentation, so I was glad to help. I got to her hotel room as she was getting ready for the shoot. She wore ONLY a teeny-tiny thong as she handed me a thumb drive and explained me that she needed some photos on it printed so she could sell them at her booth after the shoot. I bet she'd have said yes if I asked to do the interview while she was in bondage and I'd have loved to have done such an interview with her.
-- I TOOK IT SO NO COPYRIGHT WORRIES AT ALL
9. - Let's step aside from Rob 66 the Interviewer and talk about Rob 66 the Writer. How would you sum up your past , of starting to write your sexy stories , to who and / or what inspires you to present , and what you'd like to take on in story idea's , in the future ?...
- I've always loved reading and writing and I was an English/PoliSci double major in college. I also do a lot of legal writing as part of my job. I credit my late 9th grade English teacher for teaching me how to write and I credit one of my bosses for telling me to invest a few bucks in The Elements of Style by Strunk and White. Buying that book is the BEST investment any serious writer can make!
My first story posted on dA came about as a result of a Librarian Perils image by amazonarrow (which AA has since removed from her gallery). I sent her a Note about that image and that was the first time we ever talked on dA. Shortly after that, AA was running a contest featuring her Ms. Kent OC and encouraged me to write a story. I wrote Having A Blast At The Library and Chrys took the time to give me feedback about her OC and really helped me get over those first-time-posting jitters. I've written eleven stories featuring AA's original characters since that very first effort in June 2015.
-- SHE TOLD ME I CAN USE IT
Inspiration is one of those things that just happens. I was inspired by the Ms. Kent OC and wrote more stories featuring her because of the challenge they presented in having to be set inside a university library. Each idea for each story came to me slowly and required research too, which I enjoy. I like incorporating bondage in my stories, but I don't want them classified as "bondage stories" per se because bondage is a part of the story and not the story itself. Sometimes, friends on dA inspire me and I've written a few stories that feature their dA persona in a story. Most recently, I was inspired by the Detective Mallorie Grant story (which can be found here The Lolita Market) written and drawn by the amazingly talented (and genuinely nice) donnaDomenitzo . I've written a story that features Donna's OC (and hopefully that story will be posted right before or right after this interview is posted!)
As for future stories, time will tell. I have the inkling of an idea for another Detective Mallorie Grant story in my head and Donna has graciously given me the okay to use her OC again, so we'll see
10. - You have the good fortune to represent some real Icons in the Bondage Artwork business , in terms of ALAZAR , PhM and DAVE ANNIS ... Give us a quick history of how you came to know these talents and feature their works...
- It all comes back to the Rope_Dreams Yahoo group and Rachel Paine from TiedGirls (see question 1 above). I wanted to do more than just look at pictures posted by others in the Yahoo Groups; I wanted to post pictures too. But I am VERY respectful of others' copyrights so, after Rachel launched TiedGirls in 2001, I asked her for permission to promote her site by posting a few pics each week on Yahoo's clubs/groups. She graciously gave me permission and I started posting her work with credit being given for her site as the source of the posted pics. Soon, other producers who were on the Groups saw what I was doing and asked if I would post their work too. Most gave me access to their sites, so I could pick and choose what to post. It was a great deal for me lol At its peak, I was posting 23 pics a day from more than 70 sites.
PhM was a member of the Rope_Dreams Group so I asked him if he'd like me to post his work and he agreed. He is a great guy and we actually met in NYC for lunch a few years ago when he and his family came to the US for a vacation. Alazar's webmaster asked me to post from a bunch of sites that he webmastered, including AlazarsArt.com, so that is how I began posting his work. The webmaster later put me in touch with Alazar when I asked about doing an interview with him. Alazar and I have traded a lot of emails since then but we've never met in person. Dave Annis is a close friend of Tony from TucsonTied, who I know well. After a pirate stole and posted tons of Dave's work on a piracy site, Tony asked if I could help get the content removed. I was successful and Dave gave me access to his sites and allowed me to post his work as well. When I began participating on dA, I was given the okay to post their art here as well.
11. - Rob , let's take a flight of some fancy - fantasy , in terms of Fictional Characters... In 3 different area's of your lifetime ( Thus Far ) which Characters from any form of entertainment , really stood out for you , as Hero's , Heroines , Villains , that you were ( or still are ) a big fan of ?...
1. Childhood -
2. Teens -
3. Over age Adulthood -
- 1. Childhood - James Bond. I think I was 8 when my father took me to a double feature of Goldfinger and From Russia, With Love. I have been hooked on 007 ever since!
2. Teens - R'as Al-Ghul and his daughter, Talia, from the Batman comic books. I had collected comics for a few years when I was in 5th and 6th grade, but then stopped. I resumed collecting them when I was 17 and bought up many of the older Batman comics because he was a favorite character. Once I read a series in Detective Comics that featured R'as and Talia, I went back and bought up many of their very early appearances in the Batman books. Those are some of my prized comics and two of my all-time favorite characters.
3. Over age Adulthood - Modesty Blaise, a character created by the late Peter O'Donnell for his long-running comic strip in the London Evening Standard and a series of novels he wrote. One of my life's highlights was meeting Peter in 1987 when I traveled to the UK after taking the Bar Exam and before starting my job. We met at his studio, talked for about an hour and he signed "Pieces of Modesty" for me.
- NO COPYRIGHT ISSUES WITH THIS EITHER
12. - Let's try a little more Fun Trivia , of what else Entertains Rob 66 ... I'll give you a list of basic Entertainment media's , and I'll ask you to recommend 3 examples for each media , that you feel are well worth checking out for having enjoyed them yourself ...
A. MOVIES ...
B. BOOKS ...
C. SONGS ...
D. TELEVISION SHOWS ...
- A. MOVIES ... Skyfall; Into the Night; The Godfather
B. BOOKS ... Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry; To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee; The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
C. SONGS ... To Sir, With Love by Lulu (it was my Dad's favorite song); Superman's Song by Crash Test Dummies (a poignant song and video about Superman's funeral -- even if it does do Tarzan some great injustices); Gravity of Love by Enigma (just an amazingly moody song with a great vocalist)
D. TELEVISION SHOWS ... Lonesome Dove (A CBS Mini Series); Buffy, The Vampire Slayer; Star Trek (the original series)
13. - Many times , you have asked of your guests on these Interviews , to offer their own personal take on common ideals and opinion's of Bondage / Fetish and Erotic Adventure works , being Degrading to Women , or Men... to comparison's of Fantasy Fiction vs. Real Life Rape and Abuse... Even here on DA , there is the constant rival beliefs of whether it's Art or Porn , and if there's even a Difference...
Please... Offer us Your Own Personal Views on the Over All Concepts Here...
- There's a whole lot being asked in this question and full essays could be written about each topic, but I'll spare you that and just give some quick thoughts
Bondage and fetish as being degrading to women: I don't think that it's degrading if all parties involved are consenting adults whose limits and safe words are respected. Everyone has kinks and fetishes and if people mutually want to explore them, more power to them! I also know though that there are people (predators) who take advantage of models or wanna-be models and tempt them with money to try bondage and fetish only to put them in a situation they never considered that turns out to be degrading, humiliating or dangerous. So it shouldn't be degrading, but, unfortunately, depending on the situation, it can be.
Fantasy/Fiction v. Real Life Rape and Abuse: There shouldn't be any need to even discuss this. EVERY person should be able to differentiate between fantasy and reality when it comes to rape/abuse. Fantasies and fiction are escape mechanisms; rape and abuse are destructive and criminal actions that should be punished in the most extreme way.
Art or Porn: I'm not including child pornography as part of this response because it's illegal and has no artistic or redeeming value. That said, I think Justice Stewart got it right in Jacobellis v. Ohio when he wrote that he could not define "pornography" but he knew it when he saw it. What's art to some may be pornographic to others. Everyone has their own likes and dislikes, which is fine. If you don't like something or you're offended by it, go look at something else. But don't try to impose your own standards about what is artistic or pornographic on others. Everyone has a right to decide for themselves whether something is artistic or pornographic. Or, in some instances, the courts will get involved to decide if something is obscene, which is different from pornographic.
Many people object to actions taken by DA's Administrators and point to The First Amendment, but The First Amendment is inapplicable to that debate. DA is a privately owned company so it can make its own rules and policies. The First Amendment applies to action taken by the government, not a private company.
14. - Let's see.... the check looks good.... okay...
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN , THE AMAZINGLY DIVERSE TALENTS OF ROB 66 GO BEYOND THE BOUNDARIES OF DA , AS HE IS ALSO WELL ACTIVE IN A POPULAR BLOG SITE TO ENGAGE YOUR KINKY CONSUMPTION OF FINE FETISH OFFERINGS!... ( cheap plug is purely coincidental )
But really Rob , for the consideration of new readers to this Interview who may be new to DA... Please , give us a Tour Description of your Blog page , in where to find it and what it has to offer...
- Giving the link would run afoul of DA's terms of service, but it shouldn't be hard to find because the Blog is titled "RenderPages" and it is hosted on Blogspot.com The RenderPages came about after Antileafartworks.weebly.com stopped hosting certain adult content. RenderPretender had a lot of his "not safe for DA" art hosted there and he was looking for someone to create a blog that could host NSFDA art created by him and others. Because I didn't already have enough to do, I talked to RP and agreed to give it a try. Initially, it was set up at LiveJournal, but that site didn't always cooperate, so I moved it over to Blogspot. I feature art there on a daily basis that cannot be posted on DA because of the TOS. In addition to RP, who sends a lot of original/exclusive images to me for the Blog, I post NSFDA work by PhM, Alazar and Dave Annis as well as others from DA who want to contribute. Anyone can send me a Note about getting their NSFDA work posted on the Blog.
15. - Rob.. my friend... YOU NOW OWN DA!!, WHATDA YOU GONNA DO WITH IT ALREADY!?!...
........ Okay , you don't actually own DA , .. " But " ... If you did... What changes would ' You ' make here ?...
- Is this a trick question??? I'd totally revamp the TOS to bring it into the 21st century. And I'd make it so people could only view "mature" content by opting in to see such content. Everyone would default to "moderate" upon joining the site, so people would have to consciously decide and take an affirmative step to view "mature" content. If you opt to see "mature" content, you can't later complain about it or report it when you don't like what you see. To me, that's a no-brainer. It works on other sites/forums, so it should work here too.
16. - Let's get to know you a bit more , behind the Avatar again , in asking you for some insight to 3 things that almost all of us grow with and can define us somewhat...
A. Hobbies , Volunteering , other then DA stuff ...
B. Travels and what you've seen ...
C. Material Fears ... ( things , creatures , surrounding's , etc. )
- A. Hobbies , Volunteering , other than DA stuff ...: My dog, Max, who is a beagle and boxer mix, takes up a fair amount of free time, especially once it gets warm outside. We walk and walk and walk.
I am an avid reader -- novels, biographies, history, politics, etc. I used to collect comic books and probably have more than 10,000 of them at my house and my mother's house, but I stopped collecting them when I found less and less time to read them. Comics are meant to be read, not just put into a plastic bag and acid-free box for the future.
I do two types of volunteer work. I volunteer at the county courthouse once each month to advise and assist people who cannot afford to hire a lawyer when they are being sued for medical, credit card or other similar debts that are less than $15,000 in value. It's very rewarding and the people I've helped are extremely grateful and appreciative. I also am a Mentor for the high school robotics team my son was on during his four years in high school. I do fundraising, grant writing and teach some of the kids how to write grants. It's tough work because so many people and organizations compete for the few grants out there, but it's an amazing feeling when a company agrees to be a sponsor by donating $1000, $2000 or, in one instance, $10,000 as a result of my and the kids' efforts. The team's annual budget is $60,000 so this work is very important.
B. Travels and what you've seen ... The most interesting trip I took was to England and Scotland after sitting for the bar exam in 1987. Seeing castles, museums, churches, Stonehenge, the White Cliffs of Dover, meeting Peter O'Donnell, sitting in on a murder trial at the Old Bailey -- amazing experiences. Hawaii for my honeymoon was also great because, aside from lots of time on the beach and snorkeling, we rented a convertible to drive around the Big Island and we also visited the Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor. My most favorite place on the planet -- Aruba!!!
C. Material Fears ... ( things , creatures , surrounding's , etc. ). Spiders. I hate spiders. We have an arrangement though. If they stay beyond my reach, I leave them alone. All bets are off if they get too close to me though. Not a big fan of snakes either, but I haven't run across any of them in recent times.
MAX
17. - ........ Rob Ranger ?... Assuming you haven't started proceeding's to have me declared Legally Dead .... I'll End up this Interview in Your Signature Fashion....
.... ' But with a little Twist ' .... You ask those you Interview , what last thoughts they'd like the readers to know...
But before you , yourself , answer that question... Let's find out what ' Some ' of your Readers had to say about ' You ' ...
. " What a great interview to begin the series with! I look forward to your future postings.
Thank you! "

That's VERY nice to read! Thank you for sharing those comments and thank you to the people who made them And thank YOU for putting together this interview! It's neat being on the other side for once and I can see why so many people I've interviewed have told me that doing an interview was fun!
There's really not much more to know or say. I have a great family and a great job. I also feel very lucky thanks to Rachel Paine because my life would definitely be very different if I hadn't met her. Rachel is also indirectly responsible for me joining DA a long time ago because she introduced me to a producer who later asked me to have some of his pirated content removed from DeviantArt. I had to join DA to get that done for him and I've been here ever since.
I really enjoy this site. The people here who I know and interact with are among the nicest and most talented people you could ever encounter. I'm looking forward to continuing to enjoy their work and that of others while also continuing to do what I enjoy doing here!

Vladen, ol' pal,
You've done a great service, and I hope that your ultimate reward comes in an earthly fashion and does not force you to wait until your entry through the Pearly Gates is approved by the Welcoming Committee. Through insight, humor, a hefty helping of chutzpah, and an unusual mixture of self-effacement, deflection, and allusion, you have lured one of our treasures into a delightful self-exposé. Many, many thanks.
Rob,
Personally I want to thank you for permitting your sense of professionalism and your comfort with adventure, connection, and relationships to allow us all some additional insight into your personal history and to your endeavors in the broad field of...er...kink.... I suppose it was never much of a surprise that someone with both the personal "fetish" (as it were) and the acquired legal training would find ways to link them from time to time, and in other ways to keep them separate and equally fulfilling. To me your early online history is especially fascinating and remarkable, since I was an avid members of many Yahoo groups and often wished I could link up with the most forward of the group moderators/members. I was able to, with a few, and established some long and lasting friendships, including writing, commissions, and drawings. But I never, ever found a way to link my own professional training and interests to the kink community. I'm really glad that you were able to do so, and that it has resulted in such a deep and broad set of friendships and collegiality.
I respect and appreciate your temperance with those of us who are more fiery about dA's shortcomings and need to be more big-picture oriented. I've learned a fair bit from you already about law and copyright, which surprised me at first given my own background on the topic, albeit not as an attorney, and your counsel and explanations have served me well—as they have many others, I suspect.
I'm a committed fan of your postings, and find myself deeply sharing your artistic preferences and sensibilities.
Long may the constellation of your stars guide us forward, wherever that may take us!

Splendid interview, that unveils some unknown (at least to me) sides of one of the most interesting members of this community.
Among the other things, I ignored he was a lawyer in real life and now I finally understand the reason of his avatar.
I thought '66' was his year of birth, but as a matter of fact it was a wrong guess.
By the way, when dealing with the active participation in DeviantArt in respect to our own families, I am a firm believer in "Don't ask, don't tell" too.
Oh, I also think that "Skyfall" is a great movie. And Daniel Craig the best 007 after Sean Connery.

Hey Vladen, Bravo!
That was a very extensive interview. I liked how you offered different layers on many topics, that helped give different povs on the same range of matters. You can now start your own brand of artists-grilling.
The only negative side, I would say, is your first choice: Why did you interview -and thus put forward- such a devious man? is well known under the nickname "pervy" . Do I need to say more?
When I joined DA I was attracted by some of the comments he left here and there, then I published one or two posts and Rob commented. Because I found myself a bit disturbed by a specificcomment or a note - I don't remember exactly- from a harasser I must have let my disarray visible - I've been stalked pretty much RL and online): Rob came to my rescue with reassuring words and told me about the quality of the little community here. Ever since, he's been a friend. I like his sense of humor and self derision.
After he showed support I did include him in one of my story.. And he told me it had been the first time he featured in a DA post. I discovered him! Me! Me! I made him the huge star he is!
Here it is:
Mature Content
I like very much your questions and his responses generally but more precisely in #6,7,8 and 12,13,14.
Rob's presence in DA is very important for all of us, because of his point of view, his passion and of course his very very very weird personality! to both of you!

And well... eventually someone had to take on the task to interview this scoundrel of the first order XD , might as well be me
Hard to say , isn't it ?... In the case of Rob 66... it's like that old show tune says... " Can't live with him , can't live without him! "

Yes indeed and when you "discovered" me, it was a great moment because I could then appreciate how America felt when Columbus discovered it
I'm very glad you enjoyed the interview and I'm even more glad that we've met and had a really fun relationship here on dA! You do need better adjectives than weird, devious and pervy though lol
