Agent Milton and Alice Milton studying a mysterious letter they received. Seems like they are connected to the case have they have been working on for the last couple of weeks...
It's evening, almost night - so that is basically the reason for Alice already being in her nightgown!
....felt strange not drawing her in her serious Pinkerton attire.And it still feels strange for me to draw Milton without hat :'D /ugh
I loved playing with the lighting here, but as always, couldn't decide for a version in the end and just took this one here.

This is awesome, I love EVERYTHING here, from the nightgown to the lighting to the background to the backstory. Reminds me of my favorite period detective drama, "Murdoch Mysteries" (also known as "The Artful Detective", depending where you're watching it)
So, this letter, I wonder what it is? A threat? Some important info? Some nefarious villain taunting them?
