Andrew: Rapiers are cool. Wouldn't mind getting one at some point...My favorite Sword is the Katana, the Rapier is a close second. And when I say close second, I mean it's almost tied. If I didn't watch so much Samurai Jack when I was a kid, chances are my favorite would be the Rapier, and Andrew would have one instead of a Katana.

Raspier can't penetrate armor tho,that's just machanic in FE to make it stand out than other sword,only thing that effective against armor in real war would be blunt weapon such as War Hammer,War Club,flail etc.
Rapier is a sword that mostly use in duel and as secondary weapon in war,it's good because the blade give you longer reach and easier to control swing.

It's not,rapier can bend a lot but it design to bend anyway because of how slim it is it can break easily if it can't bend,so it's pretty durable.

No,the blade can't get throught skull,not many blade can do that,very well made Katana might can but not rapier.
Rapier is mainly stabbing tool with high control speed and longer reach so you use it to mainly stab any fresh like body,limbs or neck but not skull,if you lucky you can stab the eyes and make them blind or dead tho.

Well. Time to make improvements on the design of that weapon! It could be made of tougher and less brittle material so that it could inflict more damage as less energy bends the "blade", make it more cone shaped in order to maintain a better durability and makes it easier to clean. That's about it

The material isn't brittle,it's the same steel use to make long sword,just slimmer and longer for its purpose,stabbing,and bending is necessary,if blade can't bend it might break so consider that.
There's a kind of rapier that's like cone shape already and to clean rapier is as easy as to clean any blade.

True... the issue about it being slimmer and more easily broken, that would be solved when designed as a cone as all force is placed at the base of the blade and thus makes the blade more durable. Also, making the blade out of a material such as steel can lead to some issues such as corrosion. I might suggest carbon as it is more durable and doesn't corrode
