Description Arya from the Inheritance cycle. I'm in the process of drawing some more fan art for this book series. I finished this one not too long ago. It's when the spirits visit her and Eragon on the way back to Surda in Brisingr. I re-read not too long ago and this is what formed in my head. hope you like it.

God I love Arya. Arya proper I mean, not that terrible wannabe from the movie.

If i remember it right, Arya met the spirits while she was in "human" form. She'd used magic to change her features to search for Eagon. Nevertheless, great work. Never liked water colors but i like this piece very much.

Have you ever thought that, when the spirit turns blue, light blue ( Imeant something like stronger, but my englidh id so baddie), and Eragon has to turn his eyes of the creature.

I Mean: BLUE=SAPHIRA=ERAGON

I'm sorry but I have no idea what you meant by this...phrase it differently?

At the book, Rick says that, sometime, Arya's spirit became for a stong(?) blue, do stong the Eragon needed to look to other side. I can't say with the right words, cause I'm brasilian, and so my book is in portuguese, but I think that those colors means their feelings, and Arya's blue is cause of Eragon, cause Saphira is blue, so... If you still do not undertand, cause my Englidh is really bad, go to Brisingr, at the chapter with the spirits, and see the part where these creatures change colors.

If even there you don't understand, don't care, your pic is perfect and that is what matters!

Yeah, everyone always draws the same scene or just the characters themselves! lol. I just re-read it and that's the picture I got in my head...

Yeah Because her hair was sticking up like static. This is supposed to be a little bit after that though because her head has rolled back.

Thank you! I personally prefer this to any other Eragon fan art that I have posted on here. I think it accomplishes what it is supposed to do! Thank you for saying that I own at this...? is that what you meant?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SynneWarrior In reply to voldemortsapprentice [2011-01-19 14:43:11 +0000 UTC]

Well, people say pwn as "pown" due to a mistake on WoW where a line said something like "It's time to pwn you" where the pwn where the "pwn" was supposed to be "own".

Well, I didn't know this, and still refuse to change my ways on it, but I say you PAWN! Meaning you take out the insignificant competiton and are a master of all eragon art!

oh well thank you! I don't play WoW. Every time someone writes that and I can't tell what they are talking about from the context, I think of those cds that come out every other week with songs that are months old. Geez that last part...sniff*, it makes me tear up a bit....thank you so much!

I recently listened to Brisingr on audiobook after reading it a couple years ago, actually.

I know the scene you're depicting here - You capture it very well. =] The lucidity of the phenomenon is very well translated with the water colours. I especially like Arya's hair - a wonderful job! I personally imagine Arya as having a rather pale complexion, but I like the look you have given her.

Wonderful piece! Very glad to see some good Inheritence fanart. =]

Thank you for commenting. I contemplated on what kind of complexion she had for a while. as an elf living in Ellesmera, yes I figured that she would have pale skin, but in the Varden, I'd figured she would want to blend in more with the humans. I mean she can change her own physical features so why not play with them?
