(I doubt that anyone would want to, but anyway... )

So, I took a Graphic Design class against my better judgment and one of the assignments was to create a pattern for use in the textile/clothing/wallpaper/etc industries.

I choose Steampunk/Victorian for a theme (which completely baffled everyone and led to a half hour discussion of what Steampunk was), and... this is what came out of it. XDDD; I realize the drawings aren't perfect but my teacher stressed that they were supposed to look stylized and "hand-drawn" and that imperfections were what gave it character... SO.

Awww, thanks! Most of the people in my class said they could see it being used as wallpaper for a baby's/kid's bedroom... I thought it was more of gift wrapping. XDDDD

AAAAHH this is so much cuter colored. <3 The muted colors really do give off a steampunk-vibe...I still say you make these into stickers!

I hope you got an A+ on this project.

Oh gosh, I hope that I do, too! I just about killed myself over everything in that class. 8D;

And thanks! I didn't know whether I should go for that background colour instead of blue at first, but I decided that I liked it better since it did go with the theme better. I played around with blues though and found one that's still cute. It looks more like a bedsheet pattern, though. XDDD

And I would make them into stickers... but I don't know howww. D':

Haha, that's exactly what my classmates and teacher said! XDDD Maybe when I have a kiddo of my own I'll be cheap/narcissistic and use my own design.

Pfft, I don't know how it works either. My teacher was talking about some sort of convention but she said that you need a portfolio and proof that you're a professional artist to get in... but that she managed to sneak in anyway. Maybe I will, too.

Haha, it wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. XDD I just wish that I were a quicker worker because the traditional collage spread things took me six hours each to complete and didn't come out nearly as awesome as my classmates'... which they spent only an hour on. But I guess that's because I'm out of my element. I'm a plain ol' ink and paper illustration gal... not paint and collage and abstract. XDDD

Umm I should hopefully have something together. I'm finally free from school, so I can legit work on it and my room is rather put together now so I can get to stuff. Also I finally have a design I'm happy with so it should go easy now.

Omg, yes. it's nice being able to sleep. I like sleep. When are you gonna be on YIM? Cause my free time has dipped again. I probably have three house a day mon-thurs. and then I have three day weekends. which is sweet. Also noted you if you needed help.
And yes they are. 8D One of the leaders in a Ginkgo tree, which is fun to draw.
