Sanzo, from Saiyuki. Coloured version of this lineart: [link] , a reproduction from Minekura's art. Fullview for picky bastard'ish' details.
I know..it's been ages since I posted anything...can't help it...am just too picky.
Comments to correct any mistakes or just suggestions for improvement is very much welcomed...thank you.
Thank you to ~blumarine -san and Optimoose for helping out on suggestions as I was colouring this piece. It helped a lot, really.

actually..the orang border is still okay u know...not very nice..but still okay..it's the stupiak black border ON the orange border that totally kills it...and everytime i see it..makes me 'muak'...tak tahan...usually dun like to resubmit (coz I know it appears again on ppl's Devwatch list)..but really ...this time i kenot tahan...

But you know, it's kinda curious! In some parts it looks like the drawing was colored with pencils and in other with photoshop. x.x

Geez, the shading and coloring of the helmet and the jacket are totally awesome!
I just think the face and hair would match better if they had a bit more greyish tones, pastel tones, ya know?

I really dare not try out any grey-ish tones...or pastel tones (not really familiar with pastel tones
Hehe...it's fully CG...not mixed media....if you mean the shadings on his helmet and jacket...it's shaded during lineart stage...only with pencil..the rest, all color parts, is with Photoshop. Some of the lineart are recoloured using Photoshop so u dun see the 'black' lines of the mechanical pencil...esp on the hair....
I'm satisfied with the hair..of course I can further improve the skills much later.but for now...I'm satisfied with it....(well...always open for improvement ne? 
Many ppl seem to like the background...well...I had fun making it

You don't have to make the shading totally grey, just a bit more greyish. I just think way too bright colors don't go so well in CG's... but sometimes they do. Well, it all depends on the situation. ^^'

Great job coloring the folds + clothes. ^__ hmm just that I think, the shadows of his hair and skin aren't that obvious compared to the folds. Eh I'm not that good at crits *hits self* That's just my opinion though. Anyway the background is something..to die for. Blood splatters XDD

I was afraid that if I put the shading on the hair darker...it would turn out....brown or sumthing....

i love the shading you did in his hair and jacket, it looks very nice. the cg is so much better than i can hope to do, i like the plastic effect on the goggles. very cool

The googles were easier to colour coz I shaded it in the lineare...otherwise...I can't think of how I'm gonna get the similar effect.
The hair was a pain...but satisfying...the jacket was also made easier with the shadings on the lineart....

Well at least during the initial loading screen, you see a sexy blonde guy taking off his goggles instead of a bearded, bespectacled person. But Gordon's not bad either. He looks cool.

Well...if you see the lineart of this one...it's not so difficult to colour once I have the folds shaded...but yes, it's rather difficult when I shaded that area..but after that, just colour the bright part with a light shade of brown...or use the dodge tool....
