still ring in my ears, but
no longer translate in any part
of these ugly curves
where that last grimy pearl of hope
has finally trickled out of my bloodstream
into a thick pool of raspberry optimism.

I will no longer star
in this monkey-play of a life,
where I am but a minor character
who dutifully fills her role as
'the nuisance'.

So I kick the chair to you, my dear.
