Description
I search for confidencein dirty mirrors,
beauty beyond the years
of skin disease and
bad teeth,
self-esteem replaced
by stubborn acne
I only find myself
where others
have the nerve
to place the word
'pretty,'
here, on these pitiful,
angry features, their only function
to display pain, churning
under guilty bones.
Nowhere in the mirrors
do I believe what they see.
