I do find the second set of arms interesting. The biology would be rather queer if not downright unique.

Yes, he's the main protagonist of Chimera, which constitutes as Book 1.
He is one of two types of Chimera dragons, and his subspecies Swallow-tail, is the more fine-boned of the two. Swallow-tails use their smaller forelimbs to manipulate fine objects and do writing, for example.

Just have to say that I believe that while purple is a damned unique color for dragons, I prefer gold. 
If we're gonna speak on species and subspecies I must ask; What evolutionary trait does having 4 eyes give in the position they are in that another sense can't do? I do often hear about dragons having good smell and hearing so having more eyes like they are just doesn't seem to offer too much of an advantage. Could be an optical illusion but it looks like they are dug further toward the center of the head, ergo, limited line of sight.

They grant awesome depth perception and enable him to look at multiple things at once. If I remember correctly, he can move them in pairs and process two different images at the same time.

Well funny enough I remember Stella being more yellow than golden but it's been a while since I re-read AoH. I could easily be wrong.
Mind you, having golden scales is a bit strange in terms of color since matte gold just looks like off yellow and chrome goldΒ looks GOLD. X)

I was thinking chameleon since they can move their eyes independently. Macro can sorta half do that.
I do remember seeing Stella's rework and I distinctly remember her being yellow.
