I needed to test my reworked "sitting filly" pattern and I happened to have a swatch of this groovy tri-colored long pile plush, so I made what we've been calling EmoGothBlackMetalVinylScratch. Or maybe this is her identical cousin who listens to Finntroll, who knows?She's got LED unicorn magic - squeeze her ear, and her horn lights up and flashes. There's a video here:

The horn's just a 1/3 of a circle cone, sewn on after the rest was done, and the eyes are felt.

Yep, it's just pieces of faux fur put on with a ladder stitch.

You can use an applique stitch, but I used a flexible glue called E-6000 Quick Set (if you use it, make sure you have plenty of ventilation, it's got some nasty-ass fumes).

Where did you buy the white fur for Vinyl? I would like to make a plush of Vinyl Scratch with it, but is it hard to work with?
I don't want to be a bother,but are you giving out the sitting pattern?
If you're not, tips on how I could make one?

I don't think I have the sitting pattern up anywhere - it's not that I'm being greedy, I'm just really bad at writing instructions and it's kind of a complicated pattern. It might be on my tumblr.
To draw one up, you basically start with a wedge shape - there's a sitting cat pattern by Nuno-Runo that's very similar to my sitting pony: [link] Looking at that might give you an idea how to proceed.
The white fur I used was "bunny fur" from Hancock fabric, but any short pile faux fur would work. It's not hard to work with, in fact I prefer it to fleece or minky because it's a bit stiffer and the fur pile hides any wonky seams. Just make sure to push the fur back so it doesn't get trapped in the seam as you sew.

Ah, they did discontinue it then? . . . it was discontinued and then came back in stock for a while. But really any short faux fur would work. Just avoid the very cheap "cuddle fur". It's easy to spot because when you fold it, you can see the backing through the fur pile. I usually use super seal from Mendels.com, but it's very expensive and hard to work with (the pile is so dense my sewing machine can't move it) so I wouldn't recommend it to start with.

It's pretty simple, what makes it look nice is the hind legs are a seperate piece with a dart to give them fullness.
