That's a very narrow way of looking at things, pushed onto most of the world by western society in the last millennium or so. Many cultures in history have recognized nonbinary genders! Scientists are showing that the concept of there being exactly two distinct genders is false and harmful. If you're happy identifying as male, that's fine! You don't have to change. It would be nice to respect people who don't identify as male, too.
