I made these a while ago as fake/"what if?" screencaps for the new Sailor Moon anime slated to air in July this year. I tried to create a style that took Naoko's original illustrations and applied modern anime aesthetics/techniques/shortcuts. I think that was successful at least, but I'm not sure how I feel about how the end results look on their own. In particular I don't think I captured Naoko's flowy, loose hair at all, haha.The last two caps are based on scenes from the manga; the first two are made up.

Love, love, love this! Especially the last three. Her transformation is beautiful. And when she kisses Luna in the manga, one of my favorite parts that I always wished they had included in the anime. Ahh, and Mamo-chan with his earring...like it SHOULD be! Tee hee, great work!
