It's a Klay'ixx
I had this idea in mind even since I've read the prompt.
And I like the outcome so much that I'll make into species
And the species name is Klay'ixx

They are molluscs who spread around the universe terraforming the planets to their own need. They usually live in water so they raise planet's temperature to make the ice poles melt and a planet becomes an ocean.
"Pearls" in their transparent tail are they energy supply. If a Klay'ixx has to stay out of water for long time, their tail will reduce in size, loosing the pearls one by one.
They can hunt other water-based creatures (like people or tolns) and squeeze them through their belly-mouth to get some liquid for their supply. They do not basically need food (they got glowing symbiotic bacteria in their skin, like some deep ocean fishes which sustains them) but they can kill for the thrill of the hunt.
Their glowing prickers are similar to sea anemones or jellyfish. They can be poisonous, sleeping or paralytic, etc.
Klay'ixx do have to mate but they can easily change their gender.
Their body is rather easy to change in common, making them good in adapting to any environment. But they always have four limbs though they can transform them to hands, legs, tentacles or insect-like claws etc. Their skin can become more thick or thin, dry or slimy as well.

Theme(s) you'd like to see in your design: Galactic, aquatic, monstrous (any of these is fine)
Animals/features you'd like the design to be based on: Alien! Any sort of alien or extraterrestrial-looking creature would be awesome.
Additional features or clothing/accessories you like: I like 1920's fashion, along with the whole greaser look. Neither of these is required, though, I'd just like to see what you come up with. I also love multiple eyes, that's definitely one of my fave things.
Colors or palettes you like: Any
Things you do NOT want to see on the design: A stereotypical "alien" (Ex: i.livescience.com/images/i/000… )
Any other details or comments: Have fun, honestly, I just want to see you go wild, I mean, anything is possible with an alien and I want you to have fun with it. c;

1 - What parts of your prompt were written well and easy to understand? Was there anything the writer of the prompt could improve on or include next time they create a prompt?
The prompt was easy, clear and very variable ^^
I hope I guessed close enough ^^

2 - Please explain how you interpreted the prompt to create your design. Which features did you use? Did you stick to the chosen palette or make changes to it? Does the design you created have any special abilities or quirks?
I didn't use the accessories part as I had a completed picture in my mind and didn't want to tweak the design D:
but god i love multiple eyes!
