Mmm... currants....

Although framed well, the green in the background takes away some of the vitality of the subject. Perhaps this is just my preference on composition, but I see the colors that make the subject interesting mottled into the background so much so that it takes away from those focused budding leaves. With the dark area in the lower portion of the picture and more of the coloration and texture of the leaves in the top, perhaps a higher angle would work out? 

I like the shot, but it feels like a little more may have brought a lot more to the image.
