    "You're kidding, right?" Rob said.  Brenda was smiling like a Cheshire cat, which was a clear indicator that she wasn't joking.

     "C'mon Rob!  It'll be fun!" she chirped.

     "Fun?  I like camping as much as the next guy.  But you want to transform into animals, run around naked and sleep in the dirt?"  Brenda twisted her face.

     "Did you even READ the brochure?  We get our own den with heating and blankets, and we'll be covered in fur you dope, so hardly naked."

     Rob glanced at the pamphlet again.  Animal Retreats were the latest craze to come out of the Nanite revolution.

     First the miniature robots had been perfected to heal injuries, then for cosmetic surgery, and now they could affect you on a genetic level.  They were used for everything from changing height, eye color, breast size, or skin color.  Some people had even chosen to take on animal characteristics, looking like werewolves or cat-people.  Rob had even seen an elephant-woman once.  The long nose, big ears and gray skin didn't do anything for him, but she did have a great set of tits.

     Animal Retreats promised to transform you completely into the animal of your choice, then let you roam around their secure wilderness preserve as long as you wanted.  You could become a cheetah and chase down a gazelle, or become a horse and race your friends, or become a turtle and just take it slow.  Guest animals were clearly identified by special markings and collars, so they weren't confused with the regular animals that populated the reserve.

     Brenda surprised him by suddenly sitting in his lap, tossing her hair and nuzzling against his chest.

     "C'mon!  Don't be a spoilsport!  We can run around all day and then have crazy animal sex ... Literally," she said.

     He had to admit, that part sounded appealing.

     "Okay, okay.  So what animal do you want to be?"
