It has been suggested that one of the (many) reasons for such a negative reaction to the New Paradigm Daleks was that we only saw one of each different colour, meaning that when lined up they looked like a rainbow and/or an attempt to sell toys. However, had they shown more than one of each, for example, an army of red drones who all looked the same (in the same way that we tend to only see bronze drones all the time), then they would not have looked so much like the Power Rangers.

So, I took my previous pic [ votedave.deviantart.com/art/Ne… ] of the Paradigm Daleks, and turned them all into Drones, just to see how they would have looked if they’d all been the same colour.

Personally, I like the coloured hierarchy of Dalek society, and wish we could see more of it. If Moffat had stuck to his guns and filled the Dalek Parliament in “Asylum of the Daleks” with identical red Drones, I think he could have got away with the Paradigms.
