Not really. Even Modern APFSDS rounds would go so fast sloped armor would almost never matter. Even then, LRPs shatter instead of bouncing. As well, it looks like older ammo would bounce away from the ring, not into it. I'd also assume it's armored to stand 30mm AC APDS rounds, so rounds that do strike will not pen.
