These are Zena Jotts and Arthemis. The former is an assassin, the latter is her shadow. Zena was the result of a colossal effort from some of the most brilliant minds of the world to create a quantum being; a macroscopical organism that showed quantum effects such as tunneling, teleportation, entanglement and immortality. What they didn't expect, however, was her creation to actually create a fully different being alongside her, a ' quantum superpartner' of sorts from which she could never be free. Her creators attempted by many means to eradicate this superpartner in Zena's embrionic youth, only succeeding in destroying her independent material vessel and bonding her even more to Zena, not as a second personality or consciousness but as a parallel entity stuck between existence and nonexistence, a ghost that manifests with Zena's mere presence, who grew and developped alongside her no matter how hard the scientists sought her elimination.

Zena was eventually inducted as an assassin, carrying out domestic and foreign wetwork using the best of her many abilities. Arthemis, on the other hand, grew vengeful but not bitter, and uses the same abilities to sabotage Zena's efforts.
