Description Descending the steps of The Merchant's House Museum in New York City.

I constructed the dress based on two dresses in the Tredwell collection and a illustration in Arthur's Ladies Magazine.

I feel like I'm in a time machine, or maybe watching a well-made historical film. Great!

Fitting a dress is so much easier over a good 19th c. corset. It gives a good base and foundation. Makes it so much easier. But fit, foundation and silhouette are a bit of an obsession for me.

Thank you for visiting my collection!
