really it left me speechless ;-; YOU KNOW I LOOKED THROUGH YOUR OLD ACCOUNT blame deviantart suggestions(?) for this YOU IMPROVED SO MUCH LIKE HOW?????????? in 5 years my improvements have been... getting a tablet... I WAS ALMOST BETTER AT DIGITAL ART WHEN I DIDN'T HAVE ONE?? and I used to have fun drawing and creating ocs with their own personalities............. I want to cry

;_______; wtf ur so nice ii just idk
everyone has different speeds at which they improve but everyone will improve as long as they try!!
i find that rather than practise loads and for ages a short but focused practised is best. like using references or experimenting with colours really helps and trying to look at things to learn how they work. like even if u are not drawing look at the colours of something if you think it looks nice think why do these colours look nice? could i use these colours? look at bodies like how they do that why they look like that . try and imagine outlining the real life thing with your mind. this helps me but your process may be different!!
rather than feeling like you will never be able to improve i think it's good to strive for improvement like u see someones work and u think its good be all like how they do that?? and have a think, if theyve done tutorials have a look.

I never understand, like, how can people use many different colors in a spot of the drawing without making it look like crap... I only understand it takes time but I'm so impatient;;; I mean, how much did this take for you? I guess not 30 minutes ahah
and this message goes to the list of "helpful nice comments that will never disappear from my inbox"

i started experimenting with colour by using colours of pretty birds that i had taken photos of. then i just kinda experimented using different combinations of colours until it looks right??Β
i never really time my drawings but it takes me a while, i normally do mabye 30 to 60 minutes at a time and then stop and do some the next day. i think this pic roughly took about 4 hours maybe?? mayBE MORE?? i have no idea lol there was a huge space to fill and i was using mostly 2pt brushes

I don't know how much time my drawings take but it's never a lot because then I get tired and don't finish them;;; I should really work on this...
