Heroine Appreciation Day 2023,The EIGHTH Annual Heroine Appreciation day is OFFICIALLY three months away!!OK what the heck is Heroine Appreciation Day?Officially, a day to celebrate the heroines in our lives--real or imagined. Its a time to show our appreciation of the good they do in the world. Let's face it, we all love our heroines. But all too often here on dA (and especially for those of certain communities--you know who you are) we like to see the reverses, the "Setbacks" and the perils that heroines go through.And trials like that are PART of what constitutes heroism. But its the triumph through adversity that make heroines (and heroes) worth celebrating. So this one day is set aside,annually to show we how much we honor the labors of those who are heroines.How can I be a part of this day?Paint, write, draw, craft, quilt, 3d, AI (I'm using it in the poster above) commission something that celebrates a heroine--Super or otherwise. We've had tributes to nurses, mothers, teachers, police, nuns and more in Heroine Appreciation Day in the past. Go back and look through my Favorites--I have several galleries dedicated to the Heroine Appreciation Days of the past.But I like my heroines in peril, tied up and stuff--that's how I appreciate them.First, not a question. But there are 364 days in a year for that. Can we not celebrate one day to remember the successes, the triumphs, the gallant heroism that MAKES heroines who they are? Also, no one says you can't make pictures like that--they just won't be included in the official Heroine Appreciation Day folders.Are there any other rules to follow?A few! 1) Heroine Appreciation Day starts at 12:01 am, whatever your local time is, on Sunday 19 November, 2023 and runs to 12:01 am on Monday 20 November, 2023. While it's 24 hours in your time zone, it actually works out to like 48 hours here at mission control--trying to keep up with it. PLEASE try to stay in those parameters2) Place a hashtag so I can find the art. I prefer #HAD2023 or #HeroineAppreciationDay20233) It's not a contest--and you can have multiple submissions! 4) If you want to use someone else's character--ASK THEM!!!5) Please be kind6) Have FunAny other questions?
