This piece is very interesting as it catches the eye with the trees. It seems almost random, as it does not look like the Everfree Forest or Whitetail Woods. But the emotions on Applebloom's face seem to stand out over all, calling forth feelings of both curiosity and of fear. The trees themselves look as though you traced them from a Dr. Seuss book, maybe that's what you were going for I don't know. It is very good as you use shading very well. But I'm not saying it's the greatest piece in the world. Next time you should exaggerate more on Applebloom as I was expecting to see Applebloom staring off over a cliff somewhere or something along those lines. I like it as I have rarely seen Applebloom art. As well a suggestion for the future is to make the trees less linear, as they are rarely linear in nature.

Thank you for you critique. I will keep what you said in mind; however, I disagree with the trees. I have spent a good while comparing samples and I came to my conclusion. Dr. Seuss has iconic hatching with his line work while I do not.
