Absols have always been shunned by the human race. They have always been labeled as disaster bringers, bad omens. However, they were always mistaken. Absols only predict natural disasters; they do not bring them. As such, the race of Absols seclude themselves deep within the mountains. They have accepted that they will always be hunted down if they show. However, one Absol wished that he could do something other than simply predicting disasters: he wanted to prevent them from happening at all.

The Absol in question always went down to the human towns near the mountains to warn the inhabitants of the town about the disasters that were going to happen. However, they never listened, and chased him out, thinking that he was going to bring the disaster upon them. Even thought he came to accept that he will always be chased out, he always came back depressed and disheartened, knowing that he could not help the inhabitants. Eventually, he stopped going to the town altogether. From that point onward, he only warned the pokémon in the area about what was to happen.

One night, that particular Absol overhead a conversation saying that the Millenium Comet was going to appear the next day. The Millenium Comet has the power to awaken the sleeping legend, Jirachi, who is known for being able to grant the wishes of whoever finds it. The Absol was flustered. Finally, he had a chance to get his wish granted, even if the chances were low. The next evening, he went to the top of the mountain he lived on and wished for his dream to prevent disasters to come true. He waited for hours, yet nothing had happened. Saddened, he went back down to his home, and waited until tomorrow to try again. Eventually, the week of the Millenium Comet has passed, and Absol’s wish had not been granted. The Absol was broken hearted. Knowing that his last chance at getting his wish had failed, he walked miserably home.

The next day, Absol went to the glacial lake in the mountain. He looked at his reflection in the water. The instant he was going to leave, he sensed that something was going to happen at the lake. He hurried back, and saw nothing wrong. He was confused. Never had an Absol’s prediction been wrong. He turned back to head home, but stopped dead in his tracks once he heard a voice ringing inside his mind.

Do not worry, young Absol. I am simply here to grant you your wish. The Absol instantly knew what it was talking about. He shuddered for a second, then turned around and went to the shore of the lake.

“Who are you? Reveal yourself to me!” He said, somewhat frightened about what was going to happen.

If that is what you wish… From the center of the lake, a ball of light came rising from the depths and appeared before him. In seconds, the ball of light faded and showed a figure with a star-shaped head. The Absol was stunned.

“J-Jirachi…”

With the last light of the orb gone, Jirachi nodded his head. Yes, young one. It is I, Jirachi. I have come here to grant you your wish.

The Absol quivered. He had never thought that he would ever get the chance to fulfill his dream.

“I…I wish for the ability to prevent disasters from happening. I want to help both humans and pokémon from being hurt. Please, fulfill my wish!”

Jirachi closed his eyes. If that is what you wish… They eye on his chest opened up, and the Absol was blasted with a beam of light. Absol instantly began glowing. Another scythe grew out from his forehead on the opposite side of his other scythe. His forehead jewel grew and changed into a four-pointed star. The fur around his neck and chest grew out until it reached his back. Two jewels grew on the back of his paws. The claws on his elbows grew out and formed scythes. His color inverted, changing his face to a bright white and his fur into a deep blue.

Once the evolution was over, Jirachi spoke again. You are now to be called Astrogeddon. Not only do you have the power to predict disasters, but you also have the ability to control them. May the power of the stars guide you to make the right choice. Farewell… With his final words of parting, Jirachi flew off into the sky.

With the power to control disasters, Astrogeddon went down to the people of the nearby town to test his newfound powers. There was going to be a flood of the river nearby, and now that Astrogeddon has the power to prevent it, he raced to where the flood was going to happen.

The town normally has floods once every spring, and the farmers use this to water their crops. However, this one was going to be twice as powerful and destructive. Once Astrogeddon got to the river, he waited until the flood was going to happen. The townspeople saw him coming, and were paralyzed in fear and confusion. Never had they seen a pokémon like this before, and they were wondering if it was a threat or not.

Eventually, the flood came. The villagers rejoiced upon hearing, yet were silent when they realized that this flood was louder than it usually was. Once it reached the dam, which was built to contain the flood, the water crashed against it with a high power. The dam started to fall apart, and the villagers started panicking. Astrogeddon remained unmoving.

The dam broke apart, and the water came to the villagers at a speed that would certainly kill them all. Knowing that they didn’t have any chance to stop it, they stood still, waiting for the collision of water. Yet it never came.

Astrogeddon raised his paw. An aura covered the paw, and he pointed it at the water. Instantaneously, the water froze in its tracks. The villagers opened their eyes, and were stunned by what happened. The wave stayed exactly the same way it was when it was charging at the humans. Slowly, the water retreated backwards and went back into the dam. The remains of the dam glowed a deep blue and rebuilt itself through the psychic power coming from Astrogeddon. The villagers were silent for a moment, then blasted out in cheer. Knowing that he had done his job, Astrogeddon went back up the mountain, content in knowing that his wish had come true.

Many years passed, and Astrogeddon continued to help the villagers by preventing disaster that befell them. One day, Astrogeddon was bored. He decided to try and find the full extent of his power. He climbed down to the ocean nearby. Using his psychic powers, he pushed the water 500 meters backward. He then proceeded to push the water forward, creating a wave about as big as a tsunami. The wave was heading towards him, gaining more power the closer it came. Astrogeddon was contempt in knowing that he had such power. With a second’s pause, he was shocked out of his skin. He had just created a tsunami heading straight towards the town. Hesitantly, he tried to stop the wave from getting closer, however it only increased the power of the wave. He began to panic. The wave was only 30 meters away, and there was no way he could stop it at this point without causing damage. He ran to the highest peak of the mountains, which was the only place that the tsunami will not hit. Then he realized that all of the villagers were still in their homes, completely oblivious to the wave heading towards them. He used his powers to teleport everyone to the peak. It worked, yet not everybody in the town was present. He turned around to teleport everyone else up to the peak, only to realize it was too late. The tsunami had already passed through the town. Even if he were to teleport them up, there was no way to save them, since they have already died. The villagers began to rejoice, except for a few. Those few told them to stop. Once they all calmed down, they began to tell the villagers that Astrogeddon was the one that created the wave that destroyed their town, and that they were witnesses to the event. Everyone then began to charge at him. Astrogeddon teleported away. He has never been seen since then.

Some say that he simply traveled to another land and protect them. Others say that he beamed up into the heavens, protecting those in danger from the stars.It is said that only the people that want to help the world like Astrogeddon once did will ever be able to see him.

EDIT: i saw a mishap in the legend, and i got rid of it. nothing other than that

EDIT 2: i changed the second ability. Auto-Detect seemed a little too cheap.
