Description
Siege of the Black SonWhen the Deep fell to Polemos...
www.youtube.com/watch?v=5J8mvT…
New and mysterious FOIL destroyers descend, in vast numbers, upon Polemos raining hell in their wake. Unlike the previous "Whispers" TKP pages this actually take place on Polemos, not Indus, hence a sky.
This design is actually a collaboration re-design (by me) TKP version of Karl Ostland's trippy mech Apatryx:
The TKP version has a dissonant energy vortex floating in the open torso cavity that can disassemble matter and destroy anything that gets within it's sphere of influence. It was produced, on Indus, by a powerful mysterious agency that remains in the shadows.
Karl and I did various TKP collaborations of both his designs and mine. Many never got a chance to get posted but, hopefully, that will be changing this year along with seeing more material from both of us.
The second frame from the fourth collection of TKP image art manga scenes and what the Polemon spider tank was firing upon. Traditional inks, tones in Clip Studio Paint and Photoshop.

It looks like the Apatryx was removed from GP's gallery... I do recall it being one of my favorite designs of his. 's a shame.
I'm really looking forward to seeing the return of his stuff. Have you kept him chained up in a basement somewhere, forcing him to make art for you?
As to the image itself, great composition, and detailing. I love the twisted wreckage, and the effects are nicely energetic and visible, even in black and white.

VulnePro In reply to Daemoria [2017-05-23 04:22:30 +0000 UTC]
Hey there Daemoria, it wasn't removed it was DA, apparently, not allowing me to paste the post description from my Facebook posting (by the way, do you have a Facebook page, if so PM me and I'll add you) and allow that link to work. It seems if you just copy the page directly from DA and then paste it in your post you end up with a thumbnail direct link. It should be fixed now.
As for Karl, I'm still very much in touch with him but he's def not chained to a desk for Vulne Pro LOL He just kinda took a break from the internet I guess but I have been working on him to just get back out there and post, anything. As for him doing more TKP, he might be doing that too, I have been keeping him up with my plans as to trying to get back to more posting myself so he likely will have work showing up, if nothing else, due to us still collaborating on stuff. I really hope he just jumps back online to post his own works though, happy he still loves the TKP stuff enough to want to continue to contribute but I hope to see him just doing his own thing as well here on DA. I suppose we'll see but he might, indeed, come back to posting as well
Kind thanks on the comments, glad you're diggin' the new stuff.... there will be more, hopefully a LOT more
Best!
