To start the new year, I'm planning of uploading daily for as long as possible. I'm still very new to digital drawing (and have never really drawn that much at all) and ergo, these sketches are very rough.

As I'm in the very early stages of learning to draw, I've been taking a free online course available on Udemy (Free Drawing Tutorial - Drawing for Beginners: How to Draw 25 Cartoons Step-by-Step | Udemy). The fourteenth exercise was practicing drawing a 'rainbow with clouds'. Given the relatively simplistic nature of this drawing, I didn't really feel there was a lot of opportunity for me to experiment much with this exercise and thus, this is probably one of my 'worst' pages of sketches. Furthermore, due to my rule of using no colour (except for black, white, and various shades of grey), the rainbows ended-up looking rather dull and uninteresting. Nonetheless, despite the limitations of the drawing challenge, it was fun to try and think of as many creative ways to draw the same basic design without too much repetition. Of these rainbows with clouds, No. four is my favourite due to it standing out so prominently from the others given its white on black aesthetic.
