To start the new year, I'm planning of uploading daily for as long as possible. I'm still very new to digital drawing (and have never really drawn that much at all) and ergo, these sketches are very rough.

As I'm in the very early stages of learning to draw, I've been taking a free online course available on Udemy (Free Drawing Tutorial - Drawing for Beginners: How to Draw 25 Cartoons Step-by-Step | Udemy). The fifth exercise was practicing drawing a 'nifty narwhal'. The tutorial for this drawing was just the narwhal and the waves, but as I thought the image looked a little baron, I decided to add some simple birds in the background and a few fish in the sea; the jellyfish from a previous exercise also makes its return, but this time, drawn entirely from memory (without the tutorial). Due to the size of the narwhals, I could only fit two sketches on this page. Of the drawings, the first is definitely my favourite as I much prefer the narwhal's facial expression and it contains a full depiction of my jiggly jellyfish. The one aspect I do prefer regarding the second sketch however would be the fish, which I feel have a more detail and all-round just look better.
