Description To start the new year, I'm planning of uploading daily for as long as possible. I'm still very new to digital drawing (and have never really drawn that much at all) and ergo, these sketches are very rough.

As I'm in the very early stages of learning to draw, I've been taking a free online course available on Udemy (Free Drawing Tutorial - Drawing for Beginners: How to Draw 25 Cartoons Step-by-Step | Udemy). The ninth exercise was practicing drawing a 'big 'ol bear'. This was the first exercise in the 'How About Drawing Feisty Forest Friends' section of the course and also the first time that I started experimenting with different perspectives as I tried to envision what the animal would look like from different angles. I started this exercise with a line of relatively small bears with various facial expressions to practice conveying emotion through the eyes, although after realising how long it would take to fill an entire page, I drastically increased the size of the animals after this initial selection. My favourite bear has to be No. eight which earnt its place as from to its joyous expression and generally decent linework. Practicing sketching the bear from different reference points gave me an interesting insight into drawing from a three-dimensional point of view, and is certainly something I'm going to be practicing a lot more from now on. On a separate note, the page also seems unusually heavy on the cameos, with a koi fish, whale, walrus, and a jellyfish all making an appearance.

Thanks for taking the time to view my art, and have a good day .
