If you notice, Four Swords have all three representative colors of the Triforce; Blue for Wisdom, Red for Power, Green for Courage. Poor Vio is all alone ;^;
But I feel that the existence of FOUR colors instead of only THREE may add to the Tetraforce theory.
Also, In OoT you have access to three different tunics:
The Red tunic, woven by the powerful Gorons.
The Blue tunic, created using the scales of the wise Zoras.
And the Green tunic, created by the young and curious Kokiri, who at times can be just too innocent to fear anything.
And there were the alleged rumors of the fourth tunic, the Shadow tunic.
I think that the missing piece of the Triforce could have been corrupted somehow, or had been created by a fourth Goddess, who is no longer mentioned for she may have turned away from the good, thus causing the fourth piece to be removed, for the three Goddess might have feared that the people would have become corrupted by praising corrupted power.Β
As for location, it could have been destroyed, broken into a thousand pieces, similar to the Triforce of Courage in Windwaker.
Or, some theories I find most likely, it could be lost, drifting in the Sacred Realm, or, leading more into your theory of the fourth piece, it could be lost in time somehow.

I like the way you think, I made this a long time ago so I don't quite remember all I put there but if what you say about the shadow tunic is true, than maybe shadow or Dark link has it. or it could be long to some antagonist we;ve yet to meet.

You never know...
You know, I just thought about this; maybe the Tetraforce is in the Dark World. Maybe it's dark power was so great, that the Goddesses had to create a second dimension connected to Hyrule, and they banished the Tetraforce there, which caused that land to become evil and corrupted. They then would have had the Seven sages place a seal on it. (enter Link to the Past mode) Ganon (while he was still only a thief) could have read about legends of a wicked and evil place that resided opposite of the Sacred Realm, and felt that he would be able to conrtol all three realms if he ruled the most powerful one! Hundreds of years later, he then used Aghanim to break the seal the by sacraficing the descendants of the sages, and by Obtaining the Triforce, he wished for the Dark World to be his, and planned to connect not just the Dark World and Hyrule, but the Sacred Realm as well?
That means the three realms create their own Triforce! The Dark World, the most powerful and wicked one, the Sacred Realm holding the Wisdom of the Gods themselves, and Hyrule, who was home to all those brave soldiers who sacrificed their life for Hyrule in the war that took place five hundred years before the events of A Link to the Past took place!
....dayum...to think I just came up with this as I was typing it XD

Skyward Sword was really fun, I liked it ^^
It was very challenging the first time through, I had to look up a guide for every step I took XD
I've never even seen what an Oracle of Ages cartridge looks like, let alone play it...Game Stop sucks when it comes to selling older stuff (They don't even sell PS2 items anymore!), and we never get the chance to go to Game Over, and the closest D-Pad is all the way in another town ;^;
I can't even play Okami because Game Stop doesn't sell Ps2 stuff anymore...
I never got that far in Link to the Past (since my brother lost the box with all our older systems ;^; )
But I can tell you what I know from the Manga although it's not completely cannon

they have Okami for the wii, and my gamestop dosen't have any older stuff either. I can't comment on PS2 or anything like that as I've only ever owned nintendo based stuff. I got oracle of ages on the 3DS EShop though and was trying to play an emulator for a link to the past but sadly it didn't work with my computer.
I'm stuck on the silent realms, I simply can't do them at all.

I had to find a guide the second time I played through Skyward Sword because I got stuck on Eldin's silent realm XD
Here's a tip that may be helpful; you can find the locations of easy-to-get-to tears, but don't grab them. Instead, mark them on your map and dash for them when you need to. Also, if you fail, then all the locations of the drops that you succeeded at finding will be on the map. Place a beacon on them. You can easily plan a route by locating five at a time (this is the method I always use)
A funny thing that happened to me in Lanayru's Silent Realm; during my first playthrough of the game (which I never actually beat 'cause the Final boss is annoying as frag)I ended up getting the last tear around the entrance to the desert. So I had to head all the way across the map to succeed. Since this was my second time attempting this Realm, and everything looks so different in the Silent Realm, I got lost easily, so I ended up having to run all the way across the map with Guardians on my tail XD
I made it, but...it was scary...
Ooh, Ooh! Another theory! The Silent Realm is the Tetraforce of the Triforce the three other realms make up! Created by the three goddesses, who must have been one Goddess at once (Hylia), created it soley for the purpose of testing the ability's of the Hero of Time (link, of course). It combines the aspect of every piece of the Triforce by testing Link's courage, wisdom, and power, and is at first glance a calming and peaceful place, until all hell breaks lose when the Guardians awaken! It's called the "Silent" realm because nobody knows about it! Well, except for Hylia, Link and Fi After the events of Skyward Sword, the Tetraforce became so corrupt that Hylia banished it to the Dark World, but the evil power was so great, that it split her into three separate parts; Din, Nayru, and Farore! Thus, the legends of the three golden Goddesses began!
So, the Dark World is where the Tetraforce resides, The Sacred Realm is where the Triforce resides, and The Silent Realm is the Mirror of Hyrule, with the Guardians being the Silent Realm counterparts of the Hylians!
I need to stop making so many theories, I'm going to fill this whole page up XD

"If at first you don't succed, keep on sucking till you do succeed."
-Curly Howard
This is what got me through the God-forsaken Ghostly Galaxy Purple Coin Mission in Mario Galaxy XD
I kept on going at it until I beat it. If it's possible you can do it, but if you give up, you may never succeed.
Thank you, by the way!

If all else fails, force your siblings to do it for you XD
When I was little, I had to get my brother to do the Krazoa Test of Fear in Starfox Adventures for me, and even he, the master of games besides my biggest sister was having trouble with it. It took us a combined effort of about 40 tries before we beat it! Only just reccently , I was playing the game again, and I beat the Test in only four tries XD

They're fun, but Starfox Adventures is very different from the rest of the series; the type of gameplay and storylinediffers greatly from the other games. It's a good, easy game, it's just not a good Starfox Game XD
It originally started out as a game called Dinosaur Planet for the N64, one of the last games that would have been on the N64, actually. It was created by Rare. When Nintendo teamed up with Rare, they thoughtit would make a good Starfox game I don't fraggin' know why or how because the two main protagonists were foxes (Krystal and Saber). Since the main protagonist of Starfox is a fox....well,yeah XD So, Starfox Adventures was born! The game shows just how great the Gamecube was at controls and graphics...
