Midnight was happy to share her favorite night-time spot with such a famous pony as Fluttershy. Like her cutie mark depicted, Midnight not only loved peaceful things, but radiated peace itself. Her job as a flight school teacher made even the most nervous filly more sure of themselves. So it only seemed natural that the most shy of the "mane six" would become her friend, and as long as Midnight didn't fan-girl over it too hard, Fluttershy was content to keep her company.

In truth Midnight was currently sharing her favorite spot in hopes of apologizing to poor Fluttershy. Midnight had never really been big on fangirling; not to books, actors, musicians,or famous wizards (much to the Great and Powerful Trixie's dismay) but to meet a pony who had the hoof of Princess Celesta as well as holding the element of kindness...!
Well, it got to her head a bit.

Needless to say it had taken almost three hours to coax Fluttershy out from under the bed.

"Umm..excuse me..." whispered Fluttershy, "w-what are we waiting for..?"

The sun had set hours ago, meaning that Midnight had to fly the yellow pegasus to the cloud in the darkness before the moon lit up the night. Poor Fluttershy had only agreed to grudgingly, she didn't like the dark.

"Shhh.. here they come...!" murmured Midnight.

Something was coming, something lovely. Little sparks of light flew around them in weaving circles.

"Nova flies" said Midnight proudly, "they just started coming back when princess Luna returned. what do you think?"

Fluttershy just stared in awe of the glowing bugs.
