Crest looked back up at temporal tower as she and Leon made their way to the rainbow stoneship. She could already feel the effects of the changed future pulling on her body, each step seemed to be a burden, but she had to make sure Leon got back alright.

Leon was blissully unaware of her perdicament, keeping a steady pace that normally she would be able to keep up with. Crest stepped carefully, her feet felt heavy as she tried to follow her partner.

For the love of the sky, please give her enough time to make sure he got home safe.

A light flickered out of the corner of her eye, and another came off her hand, giving her the answer to the prayer.

"I guess this is it" , she muttered cursing herself for not being faster.

The charmander turned around when he realized his pikachu partner wasn't following.

"What is it? What's wrong with you-", he cut off as he spotted a dot of light drift off Crest's body, "Crest?"

"I'm sorry Leon. I kept this from you. Dusknoir said if we changed the future than all the pokemon from there would dissapear", she took a shaking breath, sadness for the end of her exsistance now, "that's why I'm distined to dissapear too."

"Huh? Wh-at? Wh-why?", he cried out, disbelief shaking his core. Crest couldn't just leave him!, "I don't understand!"

She smiled weakly at him, "Thank you for everything. I'm going to dissapear from here now."

Leon stepped foreward, "W-wait a second!", he whimmpered fearfully, "I only made it this far because you were with me Crest!", he took a step closer, "Don't you understand? You made me strong Crest", tears were streaming from his eyes, "If you go.. I... I don't know what I would.. what I would-"

Leon hiccuped unable to hold back his tears. Crest took a step forward to comfort him, but fell having little strength left in her body. Leon ran over to her and pulled her up, but having no energy to stand on her own, Crest made the two topple over.

Leon cried hugging his weakening friend to his chest. There was no turning back, but he wished there was something he could do. Why hadn't she told him? Simple.. he didn't need to ask that... he would've given up the world for her... She wouldn't have let him do that.

"C-crest-", he whimmpered

Crest sighed softly, "No Leon. You have to be strong on your own. You have to live!", she lifted her head slightly, "You have to go home... Tell everyone about what happened here. So that...nothing like this ever happens again. Promise me..."

"Urk...Crest", he muttered softly

"Promise me" she whispered

Leon was at a loss for words and nodded vigorously in response.

Crest couldn't help be smile at her emotional friend. He had always been like that, ever since they had met that fateful day on the beach. All through their hard, and yet, unfair training at Wigglytuff's guild. Through every battle they had fought... she had always had to be a stronger one.. now it was his turn.

The light grew brighter, "Thank you for everything Leon.", she patted his hand, "Even after I dissapear from here, I will never forget you. I'm so lucky you're my friend." she paused and looked at him, tears in her eyes, "And... one more favor?"

"Y-yes?"

"You don't have to.. but... but don't forget me. Please?"

"Crest! I would never f-f-forget you!"

She shut her eyes a cry escaping her as she took a breath.

"Thank you" ,the light surrounded her body fully, taking her away.

Leon held on as tightly as he could but there was nothing he could do to stop the light from taking away his partner... his friend.. his...
She would never know.

Leon looked up as the light's flickered and faded out of his sight.

"You are more important than anything to me Crest", he whispered, the tears dried almost immediatly on his firey cheeks.

After a moment he stood, his legs wobbling horribly, "I've...I've got to get home...because.. that's what Crest wanted..."
