He ran into the house, a smile on his face! Ronald was so excited to come home and tell his parents about the amazing world outside the house that he had just ventured into. Other wyngrew who looked so different from what he was used to, and he even learned of something called bugs, which he was going to get to learn more about at bug camp! Oh how excited he was for this camp where he would learn more about the mysterious tiny creatures!

"Muma! Pabuh!" He yelled excitedly as he ran to the house, a grin on his face. "I'm gonna learn about bugs!" he continued as he ran inside. "Muma? Pabuh?" he questioned, as he looked around the house, the smile still prevalent, but beginning to fade when he heard nothing in response. There would have normally been... something... But there wasn't. No yelling, no angry muttering, just, silence, until he heard a voice calling his name. Ronald turned his head and started walking in the general direction of where his name was being called by a concerned sounding voice, which he assumed was his mother's, although, it sounded nothing like her.

"Muma? You sound funny, are you okay?" he called as he looked around for his mother, but what he found, was not what he was expecting. His ears folded back as he stared up at the wyngro in front of him. There was fear in his high squeaky voice as he said "You're not Muma."

He just kept staring in terror at the creature that stood before him. Her strangely long feet.... Her pale fur..... her large ears...... And those eyes.... those piercing, terrifying, yellow, eyes...... It was as if they were staring deep into his little soul.... His soul that knew no fear til this moment....

"Honey, where were you?" the stranger spoke, her voice calming, or likely would have been if it was any other child. "I was told to pick you up, but you weren't here when I got here." she continued, however, Ronald's response did not answer her question.

"You're not my muma!" The blue wyngling screamed before running out of the room. His breathing was heavy and panicked as he scurried away, to hide, only to find this monster was hunting him down. The thumping sounds of her legs against the ground as she hopped after him scared the child even more. He was moving as quickly as his little legs could carry him, but he simply wasn't fast enough to out speed the terrifying beast hopping behind him.

Ronald screamed as he felt his assailant's gentle paws grab him and lift him off the ground. "Muma! Pabuh! Help me!" He screeched, tears streaming down his face as he flailed his arms and kicked his legs. The wyngro that held him tried to calm him down, holding him close to herself the loving embrace of a hug, but he just screamed louder.

With a saddened expression, she began to hop out of the small house, the screaming wyngling in hand... when the toy spoodle that had been resting gently on his back, fell to the floor. The motherly wyngro didn't think ronald could scream louder than he was, but she was proven wrong as soon as the child noticed his toy was missing. "Neema!" he shrieked, struggling more than before. "I want Neema back! We gotta go back for Neema!" Ronald yelled as he kicked and clawed at the tan gro's shoulder.

She suddenly looked back and saw the plush on the floor. She quickly went back and leaned down, picking it up with one hand as she held Ronald in her other arm. She handed the shaking child the toy, and continued on her path, putting the young gro in her pouch.

Ronald held the fluffy faux animal close as he sobbed through panicked, tired, breaths, too exhausted to scream anymore. In fact he was sure if he tried he wouldn't even be able to make a sound.

It was on this day, that everything changed.
