This is such a wonderful painting, your eyes get lost in the lines of the sheets and the tangle of the hair.Β It's surprisingly chaotic for a bedtime scene, which with the addition of the pill bottle (sleeping pills?) and the clock, leads me to believe the person in the painting can't seem to catch a break with falling asleep. The numbers seem to march out of the clock as though the hours just keep going by.Β The detail and shine in the hair as well as the curled up position of the subject are some of my favorite parts
