Description
Wayyyy overdue thing for JimmaB because they used to have an awful habit of catching my kiribans or other prize drawings, and either not telling me what I should draw, or only having human characters. So recently I got asked if I could draw their dog Token, preferably with a tennis ball as he loves those a lot.The background was super random and probably makes no sense, but I had fun working on it
I hope you like this!

All right, It's been a while I commented on one of your drawings. I think it's time to express my opinion on one of them.
Actually I was quite surprised to see something slightly different from you in terms of artistic diversity. I like how the shape of the dog's head is different, just like his nose from the ones I got used to see from you. No offense, I like your pictures with Bienie, and she's your alter ego after all, you express yourself through her in your artworks. But looking through your gallery I discovered that there are quite a lot of them which could really mean something deep and personal, but the characters can't really seem to catch that particular moment or feeling you're trying to reach.
I was wondering what might be the cause of that, and as I was looking at them carefully, I just realized what did I miss...
There are no eyebrows. You rarely draw eyebrows, which I frequently like to use, because you can mimic emotions with them so well. Even if there's no particular need to use them, I like to. If you look at a character's face, the first thing that immediately grabs attention is usually the eyes. If the eyes are not emphasized enough, the character might look a bit blank and emotionless, which I think is the exact opposite you're trying to reach for.
I hope I didn't offend you in any way. I generally like your style but I think you can develop it even further and better. There's much more in you than what reaches the light. Keep up the good work!

Oh, sure Nice to see a comment from you again!
You do have some valid points. I'm glad I could surprise you here, I'm hoping to get better with canines and not just make them bigger felines with longer snouts
I guess so. I think that's something I struggle with in writing out my feelings too, I feel like I just cannot get straight to the point I'm trying to make, and it turns into something else, which I finish because I like the concept too, but I will look at it and feel not satisfied because the reason why I made the piece has not been let out. Both my drawing and writing suffer from that.
Sometimes I draw eyebrows, sometimes not. It really depends, but I should probably find some sort of consistency in that, rather than slapping them on randomly and unpredictedly.
But I guess you are right there! I hope I can improve that in the future Thanks for telling me!

I'm always open for surprises, don't worry. I'll never think that I've seen everything, you've proven way back that you can get significantly better. So just go on.
I think it's not necessarily a bad thing that when you start something it evolves into something else. It can turn out to something better than expected. But I get your argument.
Do so, maybe it's gonna work out in the end. I'm actually depending on the use of eyebrows because my characters tend to aim to smiling all the time. (Imagine trying to draw a serious and calm character like that. ) I learnt that they are useful, so that's why I wanted to share my opinion.
Also, if I may have another suggestion, I would experiment with different eye shapes for different characters of yours.
And you're welcome! Have fun in the process!

I sure shall go on, hopefully I'll get to new places soon!
And yea, sometimes it's surprising to see where it ends up.
And thanks for the tip, I sure will try! c:

I still owe you like 99 things probably so if I can draw anything else for you sometime, do ask :'D I swear, one day I will learn to draw humans and have fun doing so.
But it's such a relief to hear you like it! Was insecure about that for some reason, which is odd because I like this myself. You're welcome, and thank you c:
