...Nuzlockes are freaking heartbreaking.
And hard.
And juust sghfhjfjh.
If you've played one of the games that take place in Sinnoh, and especially Platinum, it shouldn't be too hard to guess the Pokémon behind the silhouets. Buut if you're unsure anyway, just ask I guess xD
Also, the Pokémon standing around the human are my current team. I have more Pokémon but they're boxed for now.
As for the ones in the sky...
...
Man. Two badges right now, yet all those deaths already... I think I'm going to fail this run.

A Nuzlocke is a challenge in which you play a Pokémon game with extra rules that make it harder.
You can add rules to your own challenge but the rules that usually come back are:
- All Pokémon are nicknamed.
- You can only catch one Pokémon in each area.
- Once a Pokémon faints, it is considered dead and must be released/boxed forever.
It's a lot of fun but sooo hard x)
Thanks!

YES /shot
Thing is,
they don't die at first when you meet them. No,
you train them a bit and box them a bit and
then you train them more and you start making
up personalities, and they prove to be worthy
battlers, and prove to be strong, and you
start to love them, and eventually you
start to think of shipping them.
And then they get critical hit KO'ed by Roark's Cranidos/get stuck using Rollout on a wild Pachirisu that uses Bide and blasts them to cinders/get KO'ed by cameraman's Machop using Revenge after you land a powerful attack/get knocked out by a wild Geodude blowing itself up using Selfdestruct.
Tragedies.

YES
I slowly shipped Dahlia (Budew) x Scarsson (Turtwig back then), Dahlia dies in Roark's gym battle.
I was thinking about Bliksem (Luxio getting feelings for another Pokémon while a certain Pokémon on the team gets feelings for Bliksem. Bliksem dies because of that Machop. IN A POKEMON CENTER. COME ON.

YUS
IF YOUR POKEMON DIE A TRAGIC DEATH
I'LL BE SURE TO AVENGE YOU AS WELL
It's a long story but okay, I'll tell it anyway. xD Very detailed because. x)
In my, well, you could call it a universe, future Trainers/Coordinators/Breeders have to get some kind of license that allows them to own, catch, train and battle with Pokémon. At school, they learn everything and practice with the school's Pokémon, and Pokémon battles are part of the exam. Upon completing your education you get your starter Pokémon, which is one of the starters from your region. (Meaning kids do not start on a journey at the age of 10, more like 15-18 depending on the things you choose to study.) Gym leader's licenses are also obtained through a (very hard) education and exam.
However, the school isn't cheap at all, becoming a worthy Trainer costs a lot of money this way.
Bienie (gave her my own name 'cuz) is a young trainer from Sinnoh who went to the school, along with her friend Roy (the rival in Platinum who is always in a hurry). Bienie's mother lives alone and had a hard time gathering the money for her education. However, Bienie fails the final exam and doesn't receive her trainer's license. Roy does, and he will be getting his first Pokémon from Rowan soon.
Bienie sits in her house while Roy is impatiently waiting for Rowan to arrive. Eventually he decides to go to Sandgem Town himself as he's sick of waiting, and Bienie, who is getting an idea, follows him in a subtile way so he doesn't notice her.
Roy meets Rowan on Route 201, and Rowan opens the basket containing the Poké Balls. Bienie, disguised, jumps out of the bushes, grabs a Poké Ball and runs off. Roy grabs another Poké Ball, releasing Chimchar, and orders it to attack the thief (he doesn't know it's his friend). Chimchar bites Bienie's ankle, stopping her but causing her to drop her Poké Ball, releasing Scarsson, a Turtwig. Scarsson stops Chimchar from hurting Bienie more, as they are supposed to protect humans.
Both Rowan and Roy are shocked that it was Bienie who did this, and she wants to give the Turtwig back, but Rowan tells her to go to his lab in Sandgem Town.
She goes there, and Rowan starts to tell her how irresponsible she was, etc. Especially because without a license, she knows she isn't allowed to have Pokémon. Bienie apologizes, and Rowan offers her a choice, as some kind of punishment.
- She has to beat all the Gym Leaders and the Elite Four, and after that, she will get her license. However, without one, she isn't allowed to revive any Pokémon in any way, she cannot use certain facilities like the Daycare, and she cannot catch an unlimited amount of Pokémon. If she accepts she can't give up: she has to keep going until either ALL of her Pokémon are dead, or she has beaten the Elite Four.
- She can stay at home, working to gather money to redo the education and get the license. However, Bienie knows she has to pay the money of the failed education to her mother first, so it'd take a long time to gather the money. As a Trainer, it's a lot easier to gather money because of the prize money.
And thus she accepts the challenge to travel around without a license. (And she can't run from battles because of her injured ankle that was bitten by Chimchar xP)

Pffft wow
That's some pretty badass and well-thought little story :3
I like how she stole a pokemon, because it spices up the stry and ends with the 'the main character is a saint that can do no wrong or make any mistake' stereotype for nuzlockes. And it is also nice to have an explanation as of hy you can't revive your pokémon and the rest can :3
Luisa likes.

Yeah, it made little sense to send 10-year olds on aan adventure too, and I hadn't seen the stealing idea in a Nuzlocke before... but it would be hard to watch your best friend get that Pokémon while you don't x3
and I didn't want to have any scenes in which the Trainer is all "I quit" either, because even though it's realistic, it's just something that tends to annoy me after reading it too many times x) Sooo Bienie cannot quit.
Glad you like it!
