I decided to join#PMD-Explorers , after hesitating for a long time :3
Picking two starters was hard, but in the end I made this decision: Squirtle because I've always loved it, and it's the first water starter, childhood memories, you know? Plus, Wartortle has to be my favourite evolved starter so far x3
As for Sandshrew, I just like it, it's a cute Pokémon

Jesper is a very friendly, enthousiastic Squirtle. He always sees things in a positive way and doesn't give up easily. However, he can be quite naive at times, believing others when they aren't completely honest.
Robin on the other hand thinks more about things, but when she's convinced that everything is fine, she's just like "LolKay!". Robin usually doesnt take stuff serious, so when you're around her, watch out for her jokes and pranks. She follows Jesper everywhere he goes, and when he's walking too slow in her opinion she suddenly takes him and runs away with him, which is something Jesper isn't fond of. Ground types are never fond of water, but Robin is really scared of it. Jesper has tried anything to change that, but it has never worked. That's why he decided to join the explorers, hoping that one day she'll lose her fear.

How they met: One day, Robin was walking, when all of a sudden she saw an Oran berry plant with berries. However, there was a river between her and the plant, and there was no way she could reach it without getting soaked. That's when Jesper, who was swimming in the river, saw her and offered to bring her to the other side, carrying her on his back. Robin didn't trust him at first but her hunger was louder than her fear so she agreed. When they had reached the plant safely, she started following him anywhere, and that's how they became friends.
