Description Did you know that the original Kid Icarus game was envisioned as Fujiko Fujio's take on The Sword in the Stone (T. H. White's novel, not the certain Disney animated full-length film)?

However, the finished product instead became a flick set in the world of Greek mythology with some of the elements inspired by The Sword in the Stone due to Nintendo's disinterest in both King Arthur-inspired stories and co-operating with the Fujiko Fujio team.

Did you also know that most of the horned characters appearing in the Castlevania animated show, Baron Duremar included, were inspired by both "the horned deities concept" and Arthur Machen's The Great God Pan?

A Japanese writer of the Castlevania animated show had confirmed that his work on the said flick was inspired by the German-language literature's novels like Alfred Kubin's The Other Side and Hermann Hesse's The Glass Bead Game. The involvement of Japanese writers with the Castlevania animated show is definitely the reason why the stories inspired by Pavel Bazhov's fairy tales  and  Vasily Yan's the Mongol Invasion trilogy  are present in the said show.
