i think there's an illusion of heatwave blur because of the fog where the wings are
but ur rite too...if u look at the hips of the gundam the hips are blurred by the trees too

That really is a brilliant model not to fond of the motion blur but thats only a filter so who cares

no the trees are not exactly rendered, guilty as charged haha
they're just photos of trees on very simple flat geometry....well im sure u can tell from my desktop screen shot haha
