Super-sharp B/W image with precise capture of movement and stationary space. I attempted a B/W shot of my own at an NYC subway in this same stylistic vein some months ago. I liked how mine came out overall, but I think this is a more approximate vision of what I wanted. I'm impressed at the kinds of shots you produced with the Canonet rangefinder, and this is no exception. I'm inclined to fav this, I think.

Nice shot for a 8th.
Not too many 40mm's out there. I myself shoot w/ a 40mm, it definitely is an interesting focal length.

... the motion is so near to the people ant the wall behind gives not space to make one step back... I like that... it feels stressed but that's exactly what our daily life is about

Really nice shot! I love these classic rangefinders (I have a Yashica GSN). They're so great to work with!

the subway is a great place to take pictures (i think), it shows peopple in a rush, and thats a nice thing to capture The train in movement is very interesting, good job

This really makes me want to run to the exit. I get such a claustrophobic vibe from this. Love the way the lines of the ceiling and the train correlate.

This station has narrow platforms and there are always too many people, everyone in a rush trying to get somewhere else. I always get that claustrophobic feeling there. I guess the picture shows all that well enough. Thank you Marianne.

Yep, its a classic rangefinder. They made it from '72 to '82, I don't when mine was made exactly. See here [link]
Thanks
