I admire your ink shading. Truthfully, I'm a bit curious how you managed gradients with an ink pen. Is there some technique I'm missing? Regardless, this is a cutesy little mermaid if ever there was one. Well drawn, and well done.

Do you mean her tail or the background? I've draw this with marker and honestly the background was horrible to coloring. Its hard with a color who isnt black to draw a consistend background (Bcs you can obviously draw more layer with black and it wouldnt be such a diffrent instead of a light color).

I mean her tail. Upon further inspection, I assume you used increasingly lighter markers to create a gradient effect on her tail. It looks nice.
