Oh dear, it seems my imagination is running wild yet again. xD
The charming prince and the crossdressing princess are Carter and Adrian from Always Raining Here, a webcomic that I have failed to mention to my friends how hilarious and awesome it is, but hey, why not do it now? I love how the plot is totally opposite of the usual BL (meet eyes, instant love-at-first-sight, sudden make-out scene BLEH it gets old); for a matter of fact, it plays on the fact that neither of the characters feel that it's love, or any form of like, that brings them together (more like Carter's desperation, which leads to his silly antics haha). This (sort of) is a response to Adrian's expectations, as stated on page 29 (quote, "I've often imagined for someone to take the initiative, just sweep me off my feet and make me relax"). I drew it 3 nights ago, and I would have posted immediately except that my mom kicked me off the computer at the most inopportune moments. T_T -mentally waves fist at the sky-

your really good at drawing clothing i can't draw fold or creases thats well. -_-,

Aww, that's alright. I usually look at the creases in my own clothes for reference for stuff like that. Creases in dresses on the other hand (since I don't wear any, haha) I try to imitate from the flow of curtains or blankets when I bunch them up/ let them flow. It's really nice to experiment with different types of fabrics too! But my greatest advice would be just to look around and try to observe clothes/fabrics/folds of things around you. You can learn a lot from the things that are right within your reach. : )

Awww! You praise me too much; I am but a student, stumbling through art class and life's lessons, haha! Plus, if it makes you feel better I actually don't know if I'll make it by the deadline. I'm always really bad about those OTL.
All I really have to say is, have faith in yourself! Who knows, you, as well as any other contestant, has a chance of winning, so might as well give it a shot and try your best, yes? :3

adrian isnt really hard for me to draw cuz i use to have a character who kinda looks like him...... alot.
but carter is kinda hark i either make him too young, too old, or too creepy like my brother " yes miles i called you creepy."
oh figure is hard too or i should say anatomy. -i start drawing my characters *naked* first cuz ya know some people says it's easier for them that way.
oh god i got caught drawing adrian and carter in a weird way it's only for practices though just like my teacher says

Oh yeah, I have a problem with Carter too. .__. He's like, MY FAVORITE character, but I can't render him the way I want to most of the time. He's actually got a pretty unique jawline that I always neglect to draw, and his body type isn't as typical as I would think either. He's lean, but still built with broad shoulders and a slender waist. . . .you know? There are so many little details I have to pay attention to while drawing him OTL But I don't blame you for drawing him creepy haha it seems to be an inherent trait of his. Aaaaand now I'm rambling!
Yeah, don't worry about it! I actually start that way too, kind of as a skeleton sketch to build on top of. Haha, people have given me weird looks also, but I end up giggling at their discomfort since I'm the only one that can see the end result I'm trying to work towards. :3

i have a problem with "S curves" i have a habit of drawing them adrian has one but i don't really see carter having one.
i actually have alot of thing in common with carter his hair, his hair colour, same shoes, same pants, same rips on the pants, same plaid shirt, same cloth style, same language dude, man, bro.

this is really cute. I really like your way of drawing bodies, too!And I think you've totally captured their voices, haha. I also enjoy your insight on the story (the fact that they didn't instantly fall in love with each other). Our premise for making the story was to make it a slightly unconventional BL, I'm glad that came across!

Awww, thank you for the compliments! >w< To be honest, I fell in love with the comic from page one (yes, I was there when it started. I'm such a creeper... =_= ) because it fleshed out Carter's personality before he even encountered Adrian. I was enamored by Carter long before Carter and Adrian were ever introduced as the "potential couple". Heck, I was mind-boggled; it was going against all of my BL senses to be loving this one character more than the pairing as a whole. And I think that the fact that Carter and Adrian can act individually outside of their "destined (and perhaps tragic) love" was what really got me hooked. My addiction to this webcomic is too great for words.

Carter's initial development was something we wanted to be important; the fact that they are characters (people rather than stereotypes) foremost, rather than simply a BL pairing who just happen to look good together.
And I hope you're not expecting something too destined or tragic now, haha!

Well, you and Bell are doing a great job at getting your main points across, because I'm getting it. xDD And you amaze me once again; both of you have this extremely well planned out. I feel like if this were one of my required literature pieces where you had to analyze the authors' drive for writing, I would have all of the answers right in front of me because this isn't like other BL, or other webcomics in general.
